- Hello everyone,
This is a beginner tutorial, where I am showing you the basics of Redshift. This helps if you are not yet so experienced with RS or if you want to make the switch from Octane.
Best,
Vincent

Vincent I want to confess, I am YOUR fan. Every job you do is incredible and I watch every one of your storis and instagram posts. Thank you for your content and the knowledge you share. It's really helpful and helps to get a better understanding of RedShift and Cinema 4d
Thank you so much, this really gives me new motivation to continue 😙
Started with RS a couple years ago and quickly jumped over to Octane. Looking forward brushing up on RS again. Thanks Vincent!
I got the answer I've looking for many days! omg you're awesome, this tutorial just so helpful!!
This is so great and properly useful. This is exactly what I'm up to, and it helps heaps to have you as reference. Thank youuuuuu
Omg, Alt + 0, my new favorite thing. 😄 Love watching your workflow now that I have made the move myself, will be back on your Patreon soon!
OMG OMG you saved my life! I have been trying to figure out why the redshift is not showing on my bar, but then I thought prob is because I had octane installed, but turns out I just didn't check the show on main menu box.....lol THANK YOU!!!!!!
Hey, Vicent, as always I'm very impressed by your shading and lighting. I'd love to see your approach on it including suggestions on good resources for textures and anything else that you prepare outside of your 3d software or with Substance.
You're AMAZING! Thank you.
Please more octane to redshift this is so helpful ! thank you
this is suuuuper usefull
Great, Thanks!
You can solo nodes in Octane with "d" while in node editor. It's new (prob less than 2 years, so that explains why)
Octane all the way!!
Awesome stuff, as always :) so did you switch back to redshift again? I thought you went with octane again?
na, I was only testing Octane. I prefer RS, also all studios are using that, so that's my choice.
@@vincentschwenk octane is great, but for some reason RS backed by Maxon gives me some kind of assurity 🤍
Good to see you back here, VS ✌🏻
@@vincentschwenk Brigade is out in a light version =) Maybe it's time to go back?
d for solo node? is there a difference?
I have a RTX 3080 but my render view is waaaaaaaaay slower than yours, do you have an idea on what could cause that ? I disabled the CPU on the rendering options, and activated the RTX acceleration, but still it's unbearably slow ... But it seems that changing the ' USED GPU %' in the performance options of Redshift helps to remediate that abit. I guess I'll stay with Octane for now if this isn't resolved :S
there could be so many issues. The first thing which pops into my mind: When you have RS running you need to close all other GPU apps, like PS or AR. (but the newest Nvidia driver is supposed to fix this issue)
is there something similar to Dirt shader in octane??
Hey, Vicent,
Can you share your textures? That would be very helpful
He has several packs for sale on his Gumroad. I think that his Patreon members get 50% off. Or keep an eye out for a holiday sale
sad everyone jumped on RS bandwagon
