  • BRIGHTON -- Brad Stevens spoke on Friday at the Auerbach Center, sharing insights on the Celtics' recent acquisitions, Xavier Tillman and Jaden Springer, ahead of the NBA's trade deadline. He emphasized Jaden Springer's youth and playoff-ready athleticism, contrasting him with potential draft prospects. On Xavier Tillman, Stevens expressed long-held respect for his competitive nature, passing skills, and basketball IQ, stating, "He's someone we've always valued and seen as a potential contributor... His ability to compete, pass, and understand the game stands out."

One of the most significant moves the Boston Celtics made in the past 11 years was bringing Brad Stevens into their organization. The single most important move they made in the past three years is promoting him to President of Basketball Operations.

I think one of the most important decisions in Celtics history was Danny Ainge drafting the right player rather than going for the most popular one with ball. Jayson Tatum could be a superstar in Philadelphia if not, for Danny Ainge. Remember ball and Markell faults went before him.

Danny Ainge is so smart with Brad Stevens, and then drafting Tatum rather than going for the first two picks ball and Markelle Fultz. Jayson Tatum should be a superstar in Philadelphia. Danny made the right choice though.

I see this comment alot and it's completely false. Don't forget we had the #1 pick. We dropped down to the third because the 76ers wanted Fultz and gave us the third pick and an additional first rounder. Danny was completely prepared to select Tatum #1 if he thought there was any danger he would get selected by the Lakers

@chemicalhap Ya real silly. You have to think they get to practice against the starters. It's obvious that the starters are cooking them. They will improve through practice and getting tips from the starters. That's why they remain back ups. Their is only so many minutes in a game.

I say bring him back, because the celtics don't have many options.
And out of the options they do have, he has the best stats. He's 6'10, a forward that can play center and can give you anywhere between 12-15 points a night. Why wouldn't they want that type of production?
Adding him to the bench essentially gives em the insurance they need. If I remember correctly, they had to trade him and smart in order to get kp, which at the time was the right move, but now that you can bring him back; why not?
