The quality of your videos is amazing. The narration. The editing. It usually takes years to get to this level. There must be a story behind this channel :) well done.

Thank you for the compliment - I shifted from different niche. A year ago I put out the Iowa video and left after 1-3 video posts because I wasn't sure if people wanted this content. Came back 12 months and found there was a little YT community conversing about the subject. I came back to cover the subject in more detail after talking with several friends of mine who have a very popular following on social media surrounding both Ghost Towns AND Abandoned Places. They encouraged me to go back - Here's the thing (and thank you for asking- means alot) this subject will never go away. There are endless amounts of video and podcast footage on it. I'm giving BOTH because I want to give to both platform deliveries. I know the podcast and the videos can always improve - and I'll strive for that.. better mics, better shots, showing maps, improving quality yadda yadda - BUT the absolute most important part of this channel are people conversing about stories and history. Criticism and sassy remarks are whatever, but when a person comes along, adds to the story or brings up either NEW details and facts OR corrective facts (I'm not a know it all...we learn together) it makes this whole CZcams venture worth it!

Also...I will start adding more video in my podcast. 😊 Need a better mic and better background besides my dining room table!! 🤣 Thanks for the support!

Trivia: Keystone SD is half a mile from where Etta was, and Carrie Ingalls (sister of Little House on the Prairie author Laura Ingalls Wilder) lived in Keystone for quite a while, and her blind sister Mary also lived with her sister in Keystone as an adult.

My wife officially told me just the other day that we have to make a few Laura Ingalls stops on some of our trips. I love the Keystone area - we did the train last year from Hill City (where we stayed - to Keystone) - we'll make a return trip and see if I can get some more footage of the area. Love your trivia btw!

Good video, but no list of SD ghost towns is complete without Capa!

I hear you brother! I need to get up there and do an individual one. I liked your video on it - nice work.

I thought ALL towns in the Dakotas were ghost towns.
    !

Understandable - You can surely feel that way the further west you travel...I will say, some of those tiny Dakota towns have some of the best people though 😉

Some small towns have great civic pride. Revillo is one. It's on the east side of the state.
The people there take great pride in their community.
