    Just did the Brute Force! Some people change that allen bolt for a hex head, as the allen tends to strip out eventually! Nice video Cubbee!

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      Right on! Yes that would work as long as the hex head was protected and couldn't get knocked off. Wait until you hear the story about the Front diff oil change on the Can Am...let's just say it's now part Honda! Thanks for checking out the video.

    Yamaha is so simple on fluid changes. Gear oil and motor oil, done. I had four types of fluid in my rzr.

      Really...4 kinds..WOW! The Grizzly was so much easier than the Can Am...I was cursing those design engineers. Thanks for watching.

      Thanks! Drain pan works really good..."design" helps to pour used oil into a larger storage container. Low profile design helps to get under the ATV too LOL

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      Did all the maintenance in the spring, should be good now for the summer riding season. Giveaways are always a nice thing to do to thank your viewers but be sure to check out the CZcams "official" rules as there are certain things you aren't supposed to do. Not saying everyone follows them ;) We found that as far as increasing subs, you would only get the new ones for the giveaway and then they wouldn't all stick around. Always did them more as a way to say "Thanks". Hope that helps and Good Luck!

    been enjoying your latest how to videos, they will be perfect when it's time to tackle mine, and on that subject, how often should you perform these tasks in your last few videos? just when the parts wear out or should you replace on a kilometre schedule?

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      Glad to hear you are enjoying the maintenance videos and hopefully they will come in handy at some point. We change the oils when the manual recommends and try to keep to it at all times. As far as bearings, brake pads...we keep an eye on them and only replace when they are worn out. Some wear out quicker than others depending on the part and what conditions you ride in. Hope that helps!

    I was surprised to see that the drain plugs were not magnetic as they help prevent gear wear, if they come out looking like Hedgehogs then you have a serious wear problem.

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      Yes, definitely didn't have magnetic plugs. Thanks very much for checking out the video.

    Was this the first diff oil change since the atv was bought new? I ended changing mine in my 2012 grizzly at like 1500 miles, lol, guess it wasn't as prudent as I though. I flushed the rad too

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      We try and change the diff oil at least once a year..sometimes two depending on how its going!

      +cubbeezx oh, wow, thank you, I may need to start doing it more often than every two years!

  • @canesser1
    @canesser1 Před 8 lety

    How often do you do your diffs Cubbee? Are you talking about the blue Loc-tite product when you say anti-seize?

    • @canesser1
      @canesser1 Před 8 lety +1

      Use the same exact in-lb torque wrench lol.

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety +1

      Hey Canesser! We try and change them every year in the spring. The anti-seize stuff is like a "graphite/silver compound" that also comes in a "high heat" (copper colour.) You could use the blue Loc-tite though...that would work! Thanks very much for stopping by and checking out the video.

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      They sure come in handy when "wrenching!"

    • @jasonmorehouse3756
      @jasonmorehouse3756 Před 7 lety +2

      blue loctite is the total opposite of anti-seize. loctite is a thread locker designed to glue the bolt in making it hard to remove.
      anti-seize semi-lubricates and prevents corrosion and debris from getting in the threads, allowing for easy removal.
      another thing, your torque setting are incorrect now that the treads have anti-seise on them. you never apply lube to a fastener that requires a percise torque.

    I have a question, I have a Yamaha Bruin 350 and last year the winch got wet and broke, got a new one and it's been through some water nothing bad and already it's not pulling in it'll only come out and sometimes in, anything I should do to maintain it? Any way to keep it dry or dry it myself? Thanks

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      Hmmm, depends if it is the winch or the switch. I hear some winch's are more waterproof than others. Hard to tell, could just be the switch. Try spraying contact cleaner on it and keep moving the switch back and forth. The switch on the Kodiak does that once in awhile..just wasn't making a good contact. Hope that helps and good luck!

    • @MirAcLeGamingM
      @MirAcLeGamingM Před 8 lety

      +cubbeezx thank you!! I think it's the switch honestly, I know very little about bikes I just love riding, I really don't wanna buy another winch haha I'll see how that goes and possibly an update. Btw very excited for a new video I've been watching for years y'all are the reason I wanted a bike so bad lol

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  Před 8 lety

      Hopefully it is just the switch...that would be an easy fix! Thanks for checking out our videos, we appreciate it! Happy Trails.
