This is Sunday's Vietnamese Soul food!!! lol I'm making this just try and stop me..
I am not Vietnamese, but I have a lot of friends who are, and they have made this dish for me. I have loved it from the first bite. I now make this dish myself, but I prefer to use either pork shoulder or pork butt. I serve it over steamed Jasmin rice or sticky rice. I can't wait to check out some of your other recipes.
Your sauce reduced to a beautiful consistency. Looks soooo good.
The sound of the pork caramelizing is *chef’s kiss*
Chloe Diaz *chef’s kiss* yes maaaam
Dude, I can understand why you fall in love with your own cooking at the end there. That thit kho is the killer of them all!

I love making this! I never thought to add sugar to oil to carmelize it easier. I’m gonna have to try your recipe it looks so good!! But I’m the type that likes to eat at least 3 eggs in one serving😂 #ilikeeggs
Twee Eats my momma just told me to add more eggs but I cooked them all before making this video! 😭😭

Wow YUMMY

I can only assume you cooked uncovered? I always cover mine and the sauce never cooks down that deliciously. (I mean, kinda obvious).
Nhìn ngon
Nicceee!!!
Try ko nga to
🔥🔥🔥
Very nice
John Ly Nguyen thank you brotha!
I realize I’m about 2 years late, and idk if anyone has mentioned it to you yet, but if you poke a tiny hole at the bottom of the egg, the egg won’t crack and leak when you place them in boiling water.
Quick tip vro! Another way you can check if the oil is ready is put a piece of wood like toothpick or chopstick and if it bubbles then the oil is ready
H808 yessss. 🙏🏻 I’ll use that next time for people that don’t know!!

CHEF VU IN THE HOUSE 😤
any substitutions for fish sauce you find acceptable i my nephew is allergic:(
This seems close to how my Mom makes it. I was watching other videos and was confused why there was so much left over braising liquid
This hit home when I saw dudes face after the first bite. I miss my moms cooking

Hi...New Friend Great Job😉🤗🤗
Cooking videos are awesome. ❤ And then you get to listen to the annoying sounds of munching and slurping.
Make MORE VIDEOS BRO! - James
I’m finally settled into my new apartment! Need to get a couple pieces of equipment for my next cooking video! 😁
Can I use regular onion instead of shallots ?
Stems / white part of green onions is similar 👍
