    These are one of my favorite pieces of gear. I never ride without them. I smacked my knees on rocks, ice, and trees without injury. They also have slight brace qualities because of the compression fit. Very comfortable.

    Ever since I got these I haven't ridden without them. You barely know they are there. I also used to ride without anything over my knees, so this is better than nothing.

    I’ve taken a few falls now.
    FYI don’t land on rocks (sometimes mixed in with soil) If you are slightly off center it’ll will fit between the man guard and the spandex like material on the sides.
    Also slow speed impacts are the worst with these.
    Overall very happy. Just keep in mind traditional hard guards will protect you slightly better.

    How do the TP199 Compare to the Leatt 3DF Hybrid EXT Knee Guards?

    I love these but i have smaller tops of the quad above the knee ans the L/XL wouldnt fasten entirely and was too loose,BUT felt good on the calf.
    S/M. Fits well on the knee but i have bigger calves, and is a pain to get on and off after riding.
    Just a heads up

    I've been using these for a few months, it's a nice feeling to be able to squeeze the bike nicely instead of a brace. But I will say they seem near to nothing for protection from impact.just kneeing on the ground almost hurts lol

    Q1: Are they CE Level 2?
    Q2: Can you wash them?
    Q3: Is there enough padding on the inside, outside and over the knee?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 3 měsíci +1

      1. EVS does not give a CE rating so I would have to say no, they are not CE level two.
      2. Yes, you can wash them.
      3. There is padding on the inside of the knee. However, I do think there could be a little more. - Chase

    Hi Chase, how is the sizing on these? Would a L/XL fit size 16” calf’s? Also with having bigger calf’s, I was thinking of getting the version of these knee pads without the shin guard. Any thoughts on that? Thanks!

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 5 lety +1

      I have 16 inch calves and they fit ok fine. get the large/Xlarge. As far as getting the set without the shin guards, that's just personal preference and how much coverage you want. - Chase

    Considering changing my Mobius with these ones. I got a Yamaha for this year and feel it very wide, then + knee braces. Can you tell something about the sizing? Im a XXS in Mobius.

      LOL at all of these "1 or 2” questions on knee guards. Has anyone ever ordered gloves, and wondered if they were only getting one? Socks? Shoes?
