I feel like the most common mistake I see personally is actually too much hip rotation which is a result of not turning and loading adequately. So the player is facing too much to the net, which results in poor power on the shot. Then the only way to add power is through hip rotation, this then leads to a very horizontal swing path and ultimately a very low height and low spin cross shot into the net.
I have a one handed backhand but a lot of what you said applies to a one handed backhand ie use body ie hips and not be too stiff with shoulders etc and prepare as moving towards the ball. Also I need to use my hips to produce more power on the forehand side. Thanks Milan helpful as always.
Terrific advise and your form is amazing. Thank you.
Thanks for kind words. Glad it was helpful! 👍🙏
Really useful tips, especially the early preparation. Thank you.
I like how you describe other backhands while showing your points. I’m a coach and this definitely is true with timing. Without saying it you actually described the timing of the swing. Well done!!!!!
I’ve noticed that this type of backhand is more common on the ATP. It seems the WTA backhand has two handed backhands that have a bent right elbow on the take away and more circular in swing path.
Thank you!!
Hi what strings are you using, thanks.
Hi Milan, very good poimts and good explanation. To May opinion IT would be much better to use slow motion for each move, so it will be much easier for the Viewer to understand the Motion. Regards from Makedonija!!
Pulling a heavy object on the backhand is great advice.
Yes, can help a lot in terms of understanding how to put arms and body together 👍🙌
Teşekkürler from Turkiye!
You’re welcome. Hope it helps!
Hi there, you ve done some nice work to create the video that might be helpful for someone. I mean ...as for me this is not very helpful 'cause you perform your presentation of mistakes about the strikes from a standing and a non-active position ...missing the strikes during real rallies which is much more difficult to handle and keep up an effort or a pressure from the opponent's side, anyway good luck to you 💪🎾
