Is this a 17 mm or 15 mm axle? I see that many trikes seem to have a defect and either the drive side axle breaks or the spokes break regularly causing you to have a wreck. Does this setup have a weight rating? I know the cheap schwinn trike I have only has a 250 lb rating and the better trikes have a 350-500 lb rating. Where does this one stand??
For what it would cost to convert my bmx or any other bike at that I would much rather buy a used trike and save money and use what money I saved to throw a motor on it. Just makes more sense that way.

Hey bro I have a question for you. My axle moves left and right. When I tighten the cruise tire it pulls the drive drive shaft tire. If I loosen the cruise tire it wobbles. If I tighten the cruise tire it makes the drive tire up against the frame scrapping it, making a grinding noise and it gets tight to turn. How do I fix it my problem. Thank you
and notice they never replied to your coment a colar on the shaft on the inside to the right would keep it fom pulling the drive side into the frame you would have play with it to get right and not bind up none drive side for the munny there charging for that kit get you munny back and buy one online
So this axel can take any wheels with a 5/8 or larger bore correct? If you didn't want to spoke those hubs, you could theoretically use a couple of mag wheels or already assembled wheels as long as they had the 5/8 bore right? I can't see why not. I'm buying one tight now. My scooter has a 5.25" dropout and I've got an extra rear rim, both happen to be solid aluminum with 5/8 bore and keyway. This is exactly what i was looking for. I'll let you know how it turns out once i mount the 1200 watt electric motor and pump 52 volts through it. This is gonna be epic

You have to have a wheel that has room to accommodate the 3 bolts that fasten the wheel to the disc on the end of the driven axle. The driven axle has the bike sprocket at one end and the disc at the other.
Is the hub flipped around? The chain coming off the crank is on the right side of every bike I have ever seen, it wont work with the configuration you have here.
it has a hub that acts as a jackshaft(also has coaster brake) if you look at the video, it puts the final drive sprocket to the other side, some bmx cranks and hubs do route on the left side instead of the right so they can grind on curbs if you wanted to run straight from the front sprocket eliminating the jackshaft you would have a fixed gear trike, the final drive chain in the setup in the video always spins with the wheel it is a 2 chain drive setup

This rear conversion is JUNK it doesn't even include NYLON nuts for the axles so they don't back off. ONLY one wheel power and drum brakes how CHEAP can you get what a piece of CRAP

when walmart sold trikes hanging from the cieling years ago BRAND NEW was STILL cheaper than the conversion kit.
Walmart on a single speed trikes can't convert 2 multiple speed trikes

Sucks that it's only 1 wheel drive, should have made both rear wheels pull.
you would want a differential if both wheels pulled because it would have real bad steering, a lever operated locker would be super sweet though

the drive hub just looks like a formula style hub with holes drilled in it, but it would be easyer to replace than a splined hub

No bearing on the back hub ? Sounds kind of cheap made.
The drive hub is attached with bolts to the axle. The other hub has inner and outer bearings and rides on the axle.
