Its not that the Harrier sucks, it's that its difficult to master. Its a challenge. Msfs accurately stimulates that.
Great video! As for your landings, they would be softer if you switched to the cockpit while landing. Landing it soft from 3rd person is always going to be iffy.

I had no issue with flyingthe AV8B, but in the cockpit, the glass displays are obstructed and a lot of buttons are hidden. I like it OK, but I am disappointed with some of the cockpit control functions.
how do you button map the nozzles in xbox?
Just bought the Harrier on Friday. Lovin' it! BUT, I think I'm gonna have to map the nozzle control to my thrustmaster hotas. Any suggestions on this? Too clumsy using mouse while in-game

I have the nozzles mapped on propeller pitch (small) on a gamepad which seems to work OK, but they seem a bit glitchy and often rotate with no input, anyone else having this issue? Love the jet, but really needs a bug fix.

A few things wrong if you are trying to simulate real life. One if you have to have the power at 100 percent and wait for it to hover then the bird is too heavy. The real harrier can only hover under 21k pounds. You should be able to start lifting at 75 percent maybe 85 percent at most. Two when transitioning from hover to forward flight begin pitching the nose up as you are slowly moving the nozzles lever forward. Another thing I see people getting so wrong about the Harrier is the Marines NEVER do a nozzles straight back take off or landing. They most commonly do 55 to 60 degree nozzle STOL departure. Also the G spot of nozzle for hover is normally 96 degrees. When returning to enter a hover landing its a slow transition to hover and the hover should be around 500ft not much higher. Keep in mind the real harrier cannot hover much over 90 seconds without destroying the engine and nor should RPM ever stay at 100 percent due to damaging the engine.

I’m still shocked at the prices for DLC in msfs. I’ve bought lots of good stuff, but some real garbage too, like the Mig 21....as soon as I saw the Harrier was available, I went on and right to the marketplace- but when I saw the price, I just didn’t feel confident spending that kind of money on a gamble.

Ok- pulled the trigger and got the harrier....love it- BUT....
Says it comes with 12 liveries...I only see 5. I deleted the plane and downloaded it again....still only 5 liveries. Anyone else??

Btw- thank you for this harrier tutorial..mapped the propeller buttons like you said in the video, probably saved me HOURS of frustration trying to figure out how to get the harrier useable.
