Check following breakdown for an estimated deductions on a salary of 16k (there can be some errors in it so use it as a template only )
-Income tax on 16k is around 2% of salary,
-Earnings related pension (TyEL) (around 7.15%),
-Unemployment insurance (1.50%),
-Health insurance (1.36%) if salary is above 15k
-Broadcasting tax (YLE, news channel) 2.5% of income. Only if income is higher than 14k and maximum charged amount is 163euros/yr.
So, It can be summed up for an estimate percentage (It can vary bit and EXPENSES are not taxed or deducted).
(2% + 7.15% + 1.5% + 1.36% + 2.5% = 14.36% deduction on 16k)

@@ontheroadwithwaqas I have one doubt. If on work visa if I study then will it effect on my PR ? OR it will effect on my work visa or resident permit on work bases for example that restrictions of number of hours etc.
@@tjassar It will not effect PR, just do not claim benefits if rules are changed in future. There will not be any impact on your work permit as long as you do not apply yourself for study permit and continue working.

There is no concept of minimum wage in Finland. It varies according to sector but you should be getting at least 10/11 hrs for a basic work. It increases with education, skill level etc. So, anything less is exploitation of a worker. If someone pays you less than you should complain to authorities regarding it. Check following link fyr,

Check private companies such as SATO, LUMO etc. if they require bank authentication or not.

Gap year does not matter. You have to fulfil basic requirements to apply for a bachelor degree, pass entrance exam and interview OR you can apply through SAT score to skip entrance exam requirements.

You can move for studies. It is not easy to find work from outside Finland. Though, you can look for work through LinkedIn

Yes anyone can come on a pathway programme unless someone restrictions are specifically mentioned on a programme's page. Visa depends on your bank statement and money trail, so far it is quite good if docs are fine.

Hi Dear, I hope you are doing well...in unemplyment section, you didnt cover that 3 months red flag, if a person is unable to get another job within 3 months while on work permit then how can state/union help ?

According to current rules, it does not matter as work permit is not revoked in case of job loss. However, If rules are changed in future and implemented exactly the way they are proposed than you would have to leave Finland after 3 months. So try to keep two job contracts which is quite common over here (I hope that you understood my point).

@@hassanfaraz4 You can find similar rules in other European countries and one of the coalition partner in government is an anti-immigrant party. Though, other northern & western european countries have much bigger economies and job market.

If it is not a student type A permit then it is free as your RP type depends on dependent status
If I am a student can I my comes through study here and will her study will be free or she need to pay?
He/she has to pay, a person has to be on certain RP type (work, PR etc.) to study for free in universities. It also includes a spouse permit if the spouse is NOT on a student permit in Finland.

Choose Switzerland and learn German. You will have an access to bigger job market and more opportunities. German can be used in many countries and it is relatively easy to learn compared to Finnish. I will upload a video tomorrow, so watch it to know the situation and make a decision accordingly.

Wsalam, technically yes but it is kind of impossible as companies do not entertain work applicants on a visit visa.

@@tjassar Companies have to justify it that why are they hiring a non-EU person for non-specialist or non-professional job if applicant is not in Finland and has no valid permit (study, family, work etc.) and why they were unable to find a worker from Finland and EU. So it is not straight forward for non-professional jobs.
If someone offers you a job contract on a visit visa (quite rare but possible). You will not be allowed to work until you have received a work permit and it can take few months for a non-specialist work permit to arrive.

Did you apply through the agent and how much did you pay him or how much is he asking for?. There is a big scam going on regarding jobs in Finland. Secondly salary is way too high for Finnish standards and Euros are used as a currency not pounds. I think you are being scammed, be careful and apply for work yourself through portals.

Apply for work through Finnish portals and I can say it to you that most probably you are getting scammed. If they ask for money at any point for any reason then just back off. Good luck.

If you can afford studies in the USA then please go ahead with it. You can also consider Germany as it is quite good option in terms of job opportunities.

If you get a place in school. Study visa is not granted for learning language and most of the courses offered in vocational schools are in Finnish or you have to be Finland's resident (not on a visit visa) to apply for them.

@@nobody_1982 it will be extremely challenging as you do not have a social id UNLESS course is aimed for international students. Again, there is always competition and no guarantee that you will be able to get admission in courses aimed toward international students.
Rest it is your decision so please check school websites and you will get your answer.

You can check the situation on LinkedIn. It is not as good as other fields such as IT, automation. Though it has a better market in Germany compared to Finland

Since you are moving as a student and your wife has the same RP type then it will not be possible to apply for unemployment benefits. Though people have managed to apply for it earlier as rules are not updated in KELA yet but legally you are not allowed to take them. However, you guys can get kids benefits and delivery charges will be almost free. (Visit KELA for detailed information once you move here)
