You want a comment from an old dude whose been in the business for 25 plus years? Mulch the leaves down first whenever possible. This cuts down on leaf volume. Saves a lot of $ on dump fees. If the leaves are so thick you can’t do that then plow them with your rider to the leaf loader or trailer. When blowing into a pile plow the pile when it no longer can be moved with your blower with your rider. The goal is to get the leaves to its final destination as quickly and efficiently as possible. I’m not sure those 12k stand on blowers accomplish this.

A Billygoat is awesome for bulk loads of leaves in open spaces. A Stihl BR800 backpack leaf blower is great for awkward areas around houses or back yards and a leaf vacuum truck would devour a pile of leaves in minutes. Improvising on jobs, makes more money and customers are happy at a reasonable cost.

Wear a back pack blower when using that thing. they work like hand & glove. I love MY FERRIS FB3000. Great video!!!!! The right side is designed more for pushing large amounts of leaves at one time. The left side is for getting those leaves that are matted into the ground.

Love, love the machine. Absolutely horrible application for it. He made at least 10 pass at the beginning of the video where he blew the grass mat. That little area between the road and parking lot and still had the leaves he moved on the ground. Use the Zero turn with bagger and that area is literally cleaned up in 5 minutes. No leaves on car and leaves are now off the ground. Takes all or 45 seconds to dump triple bagger. Waste huge time continually blowing leaves across the parking lot. And at the of all that you had to suck the leaves up.

The markup on those units is incredible.... Its 2 hydro motors, an engine and a big fan... Very simple machines for $12000.... Its def powerful but I can see getting caught up in being extra lazy and trying to do more with the machine than grabbing a more suitable tool like a rake or backpack for some areas......Certainly helpful for large areas but the season is way too short to tie up that kind of money in my opinion. Not very useful for smaller properties, narrow areas we just park at full throttle. managing over 150 cleanups its definitely worth the 10,500. If you have under 100 probably not cost effective.

IF you see that it's worth it, then figure out what route you want to go, either new or used. Just a heads up, if you go used, the hydro pumps go for 750, engine goes for about 2k ish. Seriously though, nice machine fellas! I just can’t see spending 10k or more on a machine your gonna mainly use 3 months outs the year 🤷🏼‍♂️. Way over priced

depends on the size and number of leafups you have, and how much you spend on extra labor. but i hear you, my 8010, huge tarps and rider serve me just fine for residential, and i get alot done for solo op. if i started doing parks and office complexes, then i'd reconsider.

William B Like I said. Try one yourself before you judge. These comments are full of hate and I guarantee less than 10% have used a stand on blower. Stand on aerators are 10k too and this was the same negativity rolling around when they came out. Give it 5 years and anyone that is serious in this business will have one or have plans to buy one

I have fired landscapers for pulling this kind of crap, you used a high power machine that was designed for large open areas and you use it in a small parking lot and blow crap all over someone's car you drove over the fabric because you were too lazy to move it multiple times, you wasted time and gas.

Good lord. Noting close to professional. They blasted that straw mat up and the ground was bare. They obviously ruined someone’s topsoil, grade and seed job just trying to make it easier. That’s fucking lazy and disresctful. Not to mention blasting someone’s car like that. And we can’t forget the wheel spin marks for reversing and flooring that unit forward like that. Mesmerizing both of them didn’t notice a thing.

rem group if I ever saw someone I hired do that, I’d walk right out n fire them. I can see your all about money and not customer satisfaction. If you had any respect for the customer who PAYS you so you can continue your business that’s pretty sad. Eventually you will fail. 1 unhappy customer trumps 500 happy ones! Can’t imagine that being my 85k truck.

A few problems wrong on this job, One is I would never hire you guys to do a job like this, you never cleaned off that vehicle you blew leaves on, that along would piss me off. 2) Using that Billy Goat Z300 it creates too much scattered debre, use a backpack blower instead does a better job. 3) Learning on the job is costly to the customer if they do not like your work ethics not trained to use said equipment. Live and learn but not at the customers expense.
