I wish you the best of luck. You’re most likely going to be living in a motel after your first year, so keep that in mind if that’s something you wouldn’t want to do.
Im so considering going to humbolt, but Im in LA and it’s sooo far, did you move far to go to humbolt? was it easy? Should i push myself to go outside of LA away from my family? I have so many questions lol
Im a senior considering going to Humboldt as well. I think no matter where you go for college it might be difficult getting used to a new environment and surroundings but eventually you will feel comfortable. And being away from your family may be hard but you are becoming independent and starting a new stage of your life. I know I’ll miss my family but going to my dream school is rewarding in a sense. Hope this helped
It's... interesting. There are things to do but not "big city" things. The party scene is more lowkey but there's the beach, mountains, hiking trails, etc. And a lot more family-type events. I'm never bored and have stuff to do all the time but it's person-to-person! There's also a lot of things to do and events on campus if that's what you like :)
Hi, I’m debating to go to Humboldt after cc but it’s very far away from LA and I’ve heard that it’s hard to dorm or find a place to stay sometimes, I was wondering if that’s true?
I can't comment on the dorms but Arcata in general can be expensive to live in if you don't live with room mates. but it's a good school and worth going to IMO
If you don’t want to be forced to live in a motel after your first year, I wouldn’t recommend it. The campus cannot handle the amount of incoming students.
Just showed parts of this to students. Thank you for showing your college to them.
I received my acceptance letter last night so this was super helpful, thanks!!
Glad it helped!

Also, is it hard to sustain yourself while going to hsu? When it comes to getting a job and buying basic things??
