I'll never forget the blast of creativity that i saw on youtube in 2020 which inspired me to enter the hobby. Almost two years have passed and many channels stopped their rapid schedules and now you see them upload every few months, others stopped altogether, and its ok. The world has moved on and life will not give us so much free time ever again. Yet when i see this video im reminded of that warm blast of worldwide creativity that put thousands of us in other worlds when it was very much needed. Thank you Michael, its been great to watch your development as a creator. Cheers from currently cold Mexico.
Thanks so much!! Yes indeed, that big time out that we all had is the reason why this channel exists... but now I'm in hook line and sinker. Although it is a lot harder to put videos out as often I have still loads of projects I want to do! Thanks so much for sticking with me and watching my videos :D
@@Nat1videos id love to see your take of Skyrim at this small diorama format, you could even ask people for their favorite landmark/unmarked location as a way to generate interaction. Nonetheless im looking forward to your next piece.

Amon Hen is really one of those classic LOTR diorama scenes that you want to make if you're into minis and SBG. I have all the minis I need for that but I have so much stuff in my backlog that I don't think I'll tackle it anytime soon lol
This looks amazing Michael, as for the paint scheme, we're all on a journey (as much as we'd all love to have box-art-level skills). Also those Amon Hen statues are great
Thanks man! Yeah I am definitely happy being a journey man painter. Gradually improving over time... good to aspire to get better though! And yes, agreed Dave has really nailed the statues. Make sure to check out his channel ;)
Cheers Viv!! Yeah really pleased with the arrows, although I have a feeling it wouldn’t work so well for human or elvish arrows... still not to bad as a patch up 😁
Well I scored my biggest deal this year. A 20 year old Mumak for 25£. The model was covered in dust and it was only missing some of the wooden supports of the howdahs central piece. I have already painted the mini and fixed all the issues. Very cool video!! I want to make an Amon Hen board some day! Cheers
Thats a great deal!! Yeah Amon Hen is definitely a project on the cards for me too at some point. I did a video on my Amon Sul project, but Amon Hen is the classic and perfect for SBG. If you want to share some of your work in my discord let me know and I'll send you a link! Thanks for watching :)
Btw. since you asked for ideas to make the arrow fletching: You could shape them from little pieces of plasticard / styrene... or sprues or what have you :)
Thats a great shout Martin!! That might actually work better in terms of getting the shape of fletching right actually. The sawdust works great for Uruk Hai arrows because I imagine them to be less refined mess fletching! But styrene would be more accurate and deliberate. I may have to try just to see... I'm curious how well it will stick to the metal pin with superglue
Thanks so much!! Still trying to perfect that... sometimes I over shoot slightly, but getting better ! Thanks for watching :) Are you in my Discord channel?
Awesome build as always!! If it may be a help to you, the Lurtz miniature with just his bow in his hands is from the "Ambush at Amon Hen" set. Searching with the set name will get you better results :)
So cool! I still have the DeAgnosti magazines and minis I got as a kid. Picked up the whole fellowship a couple years back for I'm sure around 30 quid. Have the Southron mumakil kit on a shelf waiting till I get better at painting too! 😂
Nice! Good job on keeping those magazines for so long, I would surely have destroyed them by now... I was a messy kid lol. Love the Mumakil, thats a model I want to do also but haven't bought one yet... like you I find it a little intimidating lol
I keep telling you how impressed and inspired I am by watching your videos, but man alive, this is phenomenal! I’d love the discord link if you’re willing to share.

Somehow found it on eBay through the related items and it had less than an hour left with no bids yet. All painted, but without being primed first, very noticeable on the metal models and most painted really thick and in the wrong colours with what seems like the wrong paint. Easily fixed, when I get round to them. Got the weathertop models done for when I also get round to building Amon Sol.
haha WOW !!! I knew it ! You are the guy, the guy I always wish it was me haha. Man thats an incredible deal :D I had a go at Amon Sul myself, super fun build. @Nat 1 videos haha well it hasn't happened again since though 😅 Your Amon Sol video was what introduced me to your channel. Been subbed ever since! It inspired me to start doing terrain to go with my growing mass of eBay bought LOTR minis... Somehow started with Balin's Tomb, instead of something small to start with like a brick wall or a rocky outcrop. Whether it's fate or still a shameless plug. As it happens, if you don't mind me mentioning, I put a video up on my Balin's Tomb today. Also being in the discord would be great thanks! 🙂

I do lots of conversions on my SBG models and I've used 0.5mm brass rod with some Green Stuff for the fletchings to make arrows or even scratch built quivers, if you're ok with some Green Stuff work this is a great way to create something from scratch.
I got very lucky rescuing 10 Warhammer Fantasy Sword Masters from the Blood isles starter box which is the only way to get them as plastic models. Paid next to nothing and only had to fix the Banner pole as the bottom hat snapped off and the musicians horn.
@@Nat1videos The pole had broken during transport so I just pinned the part. For the horn I went through my bits box, checked the options I had from other sets and then cut one of my spearmen bits to fit. Just a quick cut on each wrist a little filing/ trimming and done. It's good to see a neglected Boromir get a new home, they're a misunderstood breed
