    Here's a variant of the Mak Scud. Scuds are crustaceans from the order Amphipoda. They possess no carapace and have laterally compressed bodies. Amphipods range in size from 0.039 to 13 inches and are mostly detritivores and/or scavengers. There are more than 9,900 amphipod species. They are mostly marine animals, but are found in almost all aquatic environments.
