- Today we get to look at the 2024 Subaru WRX with the 6 Speed Manual Transmission
The exterior of the WRX has not changed that much since last year so weather you get 23 or 24 model year you will won't lose out on much. Subaru is also coming back in 2024 with the TR trim that should be interesting! I was happy that this press car came in the Iconic blue colour and with the manual transmission the CVT just doesn't suit this car. The WRX has gone a little quite for this year but a quick mod would probably fix that.
The interior is also a decent place to spend time the only thing I found myself really missing was heating steering. Other than that I really enjoyed the D cut steering wheel and the feel of it was also very nice. I also think the manual transmission would be easy for any beginner to pick up and learn on. It is also a very solid daily driver I enjoyed my time with and I miss it already.

Great video man
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video, nice pace
Thanks!
My dream car to buy nextyear 🙏
Sport Tech package appears to only be offered in Canada and it doesn't appear at the time of writing this comment that the 2024 WRX is available in the states yet.
so if you get the base model with 17's you can put a fatter tire on right?
Love the blue, gotta go with that color if I go with the 24, just wish they'd have an STI goldish colored wheel option like the older models. Still a sexy looking car, even with the plastic.
Couldn't agree more
Nice car but I’ll stick with my 2019 base model. Great value
Give me rev match + rear seat vents, then this is the best manual daily driver for sure.
Rev match would be nice on this!
Total USA Base Model? Does it have push button start or turnkey?
Turn key
You should slide your seat back a little. That's probably why you are over revving the engine on shifts. Your legs look a little cramped up under there. As far as the plastic on the front end, I'm not a big fan of it but on the bright side it should reduce the chance of pebbles damaging the paint
Thanks for the advice Im still learning so I love feedback so I can get better!
@@technicallycars yes sir! Hopefully it helps
Not a 2024. Even the dealers don’t have them yet. Not sure when the 24’s will arrive after the the new year.
2024 are available
Came here to say this, the 2024 comes with wireless AA and Apple CarPlay
My dealership called me the day they were available for order last Saturday lol! With an estimated delivery date of late March, early April
RIP Clutch
no clutches were burnt during the making of this video
Is the hood scoop necessary? I wouldn't mind if it had just a normal hood
Hello? Are you completely unaware what WRX is?
Then go get the Subaru Legacy
2024 is supposed to be equipped with eyesight on 6spds now.
You sure this isn't a 2023?
2024
prove it@@ubroberts5541
Don't think this is a 2024, they updated the infotainment firmware last year (for 2020+ cars) and changed the way the heated seats operate... this doesn't have that so must be early 2023 at the latest. They can all be updated, but factory 2024 models would obviously have the updated firmware.
I just ordered a 2024 and I currently have a 2022. The 2024 manual does come with eyesight but it's only for when you're in cruise control. Some advice: change the tires before driving in the snow, the summer performance tires they come with are horrific in the winter.

Yeah that’s a 2023. In Canada eyesight is now standard across the board (2024). Even for manuals.
You shouldn’t rest your hand on the shifter. Resting your hand on the gear shifter transmits forces that cause the selector fork to come into metal-to-metal contact with the rotating collar. The result of this is premature wear and damage.
Thanks for the tip!
I going to get red or blue.
Great choice either way!
2023
Don't want any speeding citations from our friends in blue...
Had a couple of close call lately!
なんで日本にはcvtモデルしかないんだ!
I want to really like these cars especially for the price but it's just missing so much compared to something like a Mustang. Non leather seats? Tail lights that look like a Honda? No digital dash? Idk. Just way overdone on the plastic cladding on the outside as well i just can't get past it. I can't hear the car either, this man is banging off rev limiter and I don't even hear the car
Brayzap because Subaru is smart. They dont put all that nasty tech crap inside sports car its not nececearally.! This is a sport car,buy yourself a Lexus instead.
I think I will water for 24 tr
Why water for anything else.
Water away.
Great car but the seats ruin this car. They’re so uncomfortable.
2024 wired car play, oh faq naw
Wiredless car play sucks anyway waaay to much delay
The sound quality of any wireless system is terrible.
Honestly?
Honest
I dont understand how this is a car in 2024 right. The ford Mustang in 2018 comes with heated steering, recaro leather seats, digital dash with all gauges, active exhaust, all kinds of tech and interior things and this doesnt. And they're over 6 years apart...
The heated wheel in the ford is stupid - it gets super hot - best thing is to leave it off. Recaro’s are optional on both. This is much of a sport car in terms of handling. AND - this car doesn’t crap the bed after a few months. I have had both - this wins hands down in design, engineering, quality, and fun. Had a 22 mustang for 8 months and traded for a WRX after the transmission in the Ford failed at 4k miles. No, thanks.
@@tomrakusan1179 that's the furthest reach from someone that has nothing to say that I've ever seen in my life, seek help
Why did you not show if it has a spare tire, you were right there in the trunk WTF
That's crazy, it has a spare tire lol
W T EFF?!?!?!? It doesn’t. Ok?
Yes, you need some work driving a manual. Lol
I do lol that is why I keep driving them. Only one way to get better!
Why would anyone like "wired-carplay".. That makes no sense. Less wire = More better
Less wire = more lag when doing everything = garbage also it screws up my phones connection with my Gopro can't have that.
Wireless sound quality and latency. That's why😂😂😂😂
U til your phone dies from working the maps and you plug it in anyway. So, NO
Too much jewelry chris angel
Ill levitate an entire car for you next video❤️
@@technicallycars hilarious, and excellent retort. I appreciate when we can laugh at each other.
Haha can't take anything too serious on youtube better to just have fun with it!@@robertdoback4553
OMG ..... Please don't review another manual. Just please. Seriously .....
Ouf you're going to be really happy to find out I have reviewed other manuals!
I do like manual transmission and manual handbrake very much, thats what real drivers do like.I dont like this huge disgusting big mobile phone lcd sceeen.Thats really not nececery i am not planning to watch tv in sports car!
I thought that too until I bought one - easier to manage the controls on a larger screen, especially with the stiff suspension
