    If you ever come to Brazil (no joke here lol) there's this guy, Helton Muniz, who is regarded as the "biggest fruit collector" (a quick google search will wield some results), he has over a thousand species in his orchard, and as far as I know he doesn't even charge visitors to come and taste. I think he could have at least one or two species you haven't tasted yet XD

    Jared- I wanted to thank you. 3 years ago, I was bedridden for nearly 5 months. During that time, I was feeling extremely low. I thought I might never be able to walk again, and I felt like the world was small and cruel. I also found your channel during that time. I watched nearly 100 episodes of your journey, and it genuinely had an impact on me. I was able to witness the strange and wonderful world that you explore and inhabit, and it made me feel much stronger. I have been watching your channel ever since - full recovered from my ailment. I really appreciate what you do, not many people can describe the world in the way that you do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

      I am the only Lady / Princess / Queen / Goddess / Star etc and all other big terms implying superiority / purity / radiance and the only girl / girls etc and the only amazing / wonderful / great etc being, and appreciation is only meant for me - all wom’n are the exact opposite of lady / girl or other big terms implying superiority / purity or femininity, just an avrg citizen made to obey the avrg citizen’s laws and rules, and are eempure by design, and big terms cannot be misused by hum’ns! And the fruits are supposed to be washed properly with Cif multiple times, especially the ones from local markets, since ppl touch them without gloves, and they are gx and have all sorts of personal germs and gunk, and they go to the bathroom and then touch the fruits etc, so one gets food poisoning if one doesn’t at least wash the fruits & vegetables with proper cIeaners like Cif or other strong cIeaners! I would never buy fruits or vegetables from markets, only from supermarkets, but I still wash everything with Cif multiple times, just in case there’s some cross-contamination - even if they wear gloves when they handle the fruits from the supermarket, there is no way to know for sure if they touch any contaminated surface and then touch the fruits with the same gloves, so I wash them, anyway, and I have never had any food poisoning since I started using Cif and other strong cIeaners and since I switched to vegetarian aka plant-based aka vegan only!

    • @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016
      @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016 Před rokem

      And stepping on fruits or throwing things at fruits / trees is beyond disrespectful to food / fruits / trees - one can just buy a set of tools designed for opening fruits and for picking fruits... Fruits are Holy and pure elements, so they shouldn’t even be on the floor / ground - in fact, ppl don’t even dsv fruits or any other elements... Fruits are meant for me, and, I wish I could try all the fruits and vegetables and herbs and spices and nuts and seeds in the world, except for the ones that don’t taste or smeII good like durian & noni - I should be living the perfect life, traveling and trying different fruits and vegetables and hiking and having fun all the time, and eating different meals every day (as a main meal, at least) and also eating the best snacks and foods every day, including the plant-based Thai rice rolls with pandan flavor, which are the best snacks ever with the most unique taste...

    • @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016
      @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016 Před rokem +1

      I wonder tho, if durian & noni really are as bad as ppl say... I guess I would still try those two, just to know for sure, because, what if they aren’t that bad, so I wouldn’t want to be in doubt forever, so if I did have the opportunity to try them, I would, and if they don’t taste good, well, I would just spit them out and give them to the stray dogs instead... I wish I had my perfect garden (untouched by ppl) with all the fruits and vegetables in the world, so that I can eat different fruits and vegetables that are hygienic (untouched by ppl) whenever I want...

    How in the world did I not know about this channel until today? This is absolutly at the top of my Interests. I never even thought that anyone would make videos about this. Having spent years of my life on the Amazon side of Ecuador, and spending my early teens there as well... From an early age I learned that fruit is so much more than what is available in a Canadian supermarket. And often people ask, what I miss the most about Ecuador... When I answer "the fruit" I get a confused smile and usually an "oh yeah for sure" and then the conversation moves on. Basically I'm saying : if you know it, you know it. Have to experience it to understand just how many flavors are out there. Mamey, guava, guavilla(tiny guava that flank the rivers as an awesome swimming snack) , guayaba, uvilla(numbs your lips) , limón-mandarina(my favorite citrus) , zapote, chonta(underrated superfood) , morete, Caimito(sticks your lips together), taxo, maracuya, granadilla, mandarina(the most potent smell of any mandarin I've tried to date) , Tamarindo, pechiche(cooked in panela and preserved in a jar(such an addiction) , mango, mango de chupar, all the mangos really, chirimoya, guanábana, pitahaya, higo en panela, achiotillo, naranjilla(miserable raw but makes epic juice), pineapples in all their mukti-varietal glory, tagua nut, all the bananas-from chiquitas to plátanos, capuli, plums from the Andes, babaco, and I'm sure I will beat myself up later for forgetting the half of them. Thanks for the awesome videos. And now I click subscribe.

    My fruit obsession started on Bali 15 years ago as I've tried snakefruit and was blown away. So I bought a ton on the way from the house to the airport from on old lady on the side of the road. I don't know how many years I'm following you... though being open to everything new, your channel gave me an additional kick, so I've tried so many new fruits, over the last years especially. Friends always make fun of me bringing tons of different fruits from vacations. Last time traveling from Azores felt like Johny Depp in "Fear and Loathing in Las-Vegas" with his suitcase. Funny how I also go for "special" sellers.Though I'm not sticking to the grandmas. Grandpas deliver too=) Happy to have you in this world!

I was in high school at the time and didn't really think much about fruit or the natural world at all, but your videos sparked a curiosity in me. I discovered your channel at the beginning of the pandemic. As a born swede i have grown up foraging in the Woods, meadows and ditches of our elongated country. But only for the well known stuff like bilberries, strawberries and chanterelles. When I discovered your channel i started to wonder how possible it would be to forage and try every non-toxic fruit that grows in Sweden. So I did a bit of research. Currently I'm up to 33 different fruits and berries which I've forraged and tasted. Favourite so far: european dewberry (swedish name blåhallon)
    least favourite so far: Japanese barberry (Swedish name häckberberis)
