These two 300+ lb guys fought until the end and didn’t hug each other once. Eddie went through the fight with two bloody eyes and they both got knocked down multiple times and got right back up. An incredible display of stamina and a better show than most of these celebrity boxing matches.

I had flashbacks to my trainer screaming "dont ever back out when you get inside! Get inside and stay inside! Let your opponent be the one to back out". I was a big puncher and at the time was 5'8" 170lbs so he knew i needed to take full advantage of my talents and body size etc. Eddie never had a chance other than landing a really clean shot but due to his not understanding in fighting that was never gonna happen.

All the talk about going rounds with pro boxers, beating them- yeah none of that showed in the ring. "I put on social media only what I choose to show Thor".. there wasnt much you hid. Yeah good head movement, quick feet and good weaving tbh, which was surprising. Thor came with a gameplan though, Eddie came on a prayer of lucking out and hitting Thor with a haymaker. All that smack and trash talk and smug face now makes you wonder if he was just trying to hide his insecurities behind it all. He had heart, guts, sure. If I was Eddie I would be thoroughly embarrassed at that performance and the whole fight in general, especially the fact his wife, kid and family were ringside to see him box like that. 2 years acting as if he's turned into a pro at boxing, going on about not showing his game plan and footage, constantly making fun of Thor's boxing technique and fights while not having one himself, making out like he's destroying pro fighters in his basement while in reality he's been sparing his best mate and a lanky teenager and then he turns up spends the entire fight flat-footed and the only thing he offered was a wild punch that took longer to load up than a 90s computer. He's never living this down some of the memes I saw last night were hilarious.

He nearly took Thor's head off several times in the first round. Just came a hair short. He had to use speed to close the distance and Thor was jabbing to keep the distance or moving away most of the time. Eddie could have tried to hug it out and catch Thor on the break maybe like DC did to Stipe. It's a tough thing to do when the other guy is bigger and longer. The fact Eddie landed as much as he did is impressive.
