    A major problem with 11 Home is it won't let you use any program that isn't in the Microsoft Store. You can download and install them but 11 Home won't let then run! I spent hours trying figure this out!

    Ost there some difference with how pro and home in how they manage multiple screens? I have 2 screens on my desk and when I disconnect my laptop it takes windows 20 minutes to start working again. It is resizing open apps etc. super annoying

    • @indigosoftware9625
      @indigosoftware9625  Před 13 dny

      The difference between Windows 10 Pro and Home doesn't directly affect how they manage multiple screens, but Pro has additional features like Remote Desktop and Group Policy management, which can indirectly influence multi-monitor setups in a professional environment.
      Regarding your issue: the lag when disconnecting your laptop could be due to how Windows handles screen scaling and app window positioning.
      To reduce the delay, try:
      Updating your graphics drivers.
      Adjusting display settings before disconnecting.
      Using a docking station for smoother transitions.
      These steps may help Windows handle the change more efficiently.

      doing my first full build and wanted to do a new/clean install of win11. i was going to just get the home version, but looks like i might be doing pro now with the link.
      thought i'd be doing the whole thing in july, but the graphics card people have decided to change things in a bad way. then the (older) card i was going to buy suddenly became very popular. so i guess now i'm not going to buy it all till august. that's the way it goes sometimes.
      side note: the whole TPM thing threw me off. i looked everywhere for which little chip i was supposed to buy. seemed odd new motherboards didn't just come with it. even the motherboard manufacturer left out info on about it. when i e-mailed them to ask, they decided not to bother to tell me anything at all... 100% ghosted.
      so now i'm going with a different motherboard manufacturer. and i find out it's no longer a requirement (??? GRRR!). they could have just said "yeah, don't worry about putting that in, windows 11 no longer requires it."

      @@PaulC001 The biggest feature in the pro version of Windows 11 for me is Microsoft hyper-v. You get a fast, easy and very practical hypervisor manager to run VM's.
      The TPM thing can be confusing. This is what microsoft says: TPM 2.0 is required to run Windows 11, as an important building block for security-related features. TPM 2.0 is used in Windows 11 for a number of features, including Windows Hello for identity protection and BitLocker for data protection.
      However you can easily bypass the TPM requirement when installing your OS. It's basically just a security measure.
