I wish more people could see this...and see Medellin in person. Such a beautiful and fun city, full of some of the nicest people I have ever met.
Man,this is one of the good videos ,about medellin ,i love my city,it is beautiful, but we still have problems, thankfully,we are looking ahead, past forgotten, and thank you very much for do a showing us ,among the world, the regular face of medellin, normal people trying to emerge, live and fight every day...
This was an excellent mini-documentary. I'm headed there for a week in Dec 2011. It's a really beautiful city.
thank you for showing the best side of my city, the hard working people, as a filmaker i have being touched
I plan to go there someday.
The women in Colombia are irresistible.
I'm giving a speech on Medellin, how innovative urban planners turned the city around. it's one of the most inspiring stories I know.
Hey, I love ur effort to show the reality of our city. Congrats.
Medellin is great, is the pure example of how Colombia has changed during the last 25 years, this video shows how Medellin's lower class has changed for good.
I really wanna stay with my family for Christmas in Medellin!
A Big Festival Of Lights!
Try going sometime!
very good film,i would go there in a second.
Loved Medellin! I was there September - October 2010, and I loved it so much. Food is amazing and cheap (Prices), people are friendly, weather is very balanced, and the women are stunning. If you're a young man in your 20's speaking English, be prepared to get lots of attention from the ladies. Don't worry about crime. Police are freaking everywhere in the city, and I mean everywhere! These cops look more intimidating than American cops but are so much more friendlier and helpful. GO MEDELLIN!
I eent to Medellin last April & Walk on the streets with some jewelry on me & dollars in my purse and I found a Safe City..We walk on the streets of el poblado @ 9:00 ,9:30 & around 10:00 pm I did not see any Issues!!but a fun & beautiful City!!!
medellin is the best!!
Linda mujer.
Man,I got to get to Colombia.
Medellin is a great city. I love it. Economies are hard to turn around, I hope they can keep the momentum going, when the new President is elected.
I think that Medellin would be like the equivalent to Monterrey, Mexico.
@youngblk31 you will be fine, i have been there and also going back in december
@xEschatonx Yeah it still has a lot to go, on the other hand, I think it would be a bit harsh to say it is not completely safe to go there, if we base ourselves strictly on stats, we would have to mention cities like: Irvington, NJ, Camden, NJ, Detroit, MI, New Orleans, Gary, Indiana, ST. Louis, MO, Oakland, CA, Flint, MI, Los Angeles, CA and many many more with similar if not WORSE stats…..
Medellin changing but long way to go with social injustice.
como marcela ,, no conocia este documental,,,esta bueno....y yulianna...la muestran muy poco,,pero que bn..
@xEschatonx I cannot guarantee your security when you come here, but what I can guarantee is that if you do decide to come you will leave with knowledge from a very cultural place, you can visit many places that will simply take your breath away, and you might meet the woman of your dreams, if you don’t already have her, give it a try you might not regret it!
colombia da best
I am from medellin to and believe me that medellin in this moment its pretty bad and i agree with you mottevolois cause medellin its very violent.
Nice closeup at 1:37. Accidental? I think not.
Beautiful women
@youngblk31 r u going for business or vacation? ur talking December 2010 right? I am thinking about going there also, u just need a passort right?
@xEschatonx Anywhere you go you have to be careful, all we want is people not to stereotype “Colombia” we are good people and like every country we have our share of scumbags!!! We are just trying to overcome our differences one day at a time…
Vanilla Ice at 2:40???
Former Medellin = any hood in the US CURRENTLY - except the Colombian government cares for them and used REAL solutions to improve the community.
Crime uptick! Just came back 2 days ago February 12 2014, First night out in Medellin, I was at Babylon night club, got pick pocketed for my cell phone. My room mate (guy) was drugged by 2 girls he took back in his room and they stoled his Iphone, laptop, Ipad $400.00, they even took his shaver and chewing gum!!
Two weeks prior to my arrival, another roommate was held at gun point by a guy on a motor cycle while walking on a street during the day with his girl.
Just yesterday the same club Babylon, another room mate got his Iphone lifted.
Everyone knows that reporting it to the police is a waste of time!! Medelline is awsome but because of the increase in crime lately, I wont be going back anytime soon. # embarrassed and heart broken
Ooooo, I was thinking of visiting this January.
I see you copy pasting this message in a few medellin videos, and I am thankful because I want less tourists to go there, but make no mistake , I am gonna live there
Merovingian V Dude, you American?
I have a "friend" in Medellin. I may not visit now.
+terry j You sure you weren't in Washington DC? ;)
how do people find the money to go shopping in medellin, when I can't even find a job in ny
@leespylman lo que haga rcn no es culpa de bogota, donde salio todo el escandalo de la contratacion? no confunda el amor a su region, con la envidia hacia las demas, cada una tiene lo suyo y si bogota es el centro por algo sera.
Tell me what city doesn't have violence?
Homicide rate is high. This is the medellin house hunters people won't go to..smh.
@drizzywitdabigdizzy you think i could date a girl there?
lina marcela is so hot... i wanna meet her!
