Many people who does independent films goes and find Facebook groups for their local film communities. I did it that way and got a short film made

I can do this voice that kind of sounds like Elmo impersonating Gollum. It’s hard to explain how I do it, but the best I can describe it is to try and sound like you’re being strangled but without the gargling sounds. There's another option out there to become a voice actor that doesn't require any talent. It's be Chris Pratt. So if you're Chris Pratt you can easily become a voice actor without putting in any work at all.

When you refer to “Acting Classes”, do you mean, Physical Acting classes or Voice acting classes? Or does it not matter?

basic acting skills are scene study, cold reading and improv and these are imperative to learn/understand regardless of if you pursue on camera acting or voice acting. after studying those pillars of acting, then i recommend VO specific classes! there are different types depending on what style of voice acting you’re interested in! examples: animation/video game character work, commercial vo, anime dubbing, motion capture, etc
