  • Step-by-step guide on how to remove / replace / change front heater climate controls assembly on Dodge Nitro SUV. All you will need is a phillips screwdriver and plastic trim removal tool. (2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 | SLT | R/T | LIMITED | SXT ).
Often one of the front climate controls knobs will stop working which can cause lots of problems with heat, air conditioner or air flow. Luckily it is quite easy to replace it and your best bet is to get used climate controls from a car wreckers or second hand online.
To remove the climate controls, first you will have to pop out plastic dashboard bezel that is surrounding the radio unit. Once that is done, climate controls will be held by four phillips screws.

Why are you changing yours? Mine will not change the heater flow from top to the floor.

Two knobs didn't work anymore, got stuck. You might be dealing with a failed blend door actuator if you can't change hvac mode
