Imagine you've been tripping acid, at the Fillmore in San Francisco, watching the Smashing Pumpkins, in 1994, and Billy Corgan starts noodling along to Starla, and wishes you a good rest of your trip
Imagine you aren't a complete drug addict loser and you just enjoy the music because you deserves it after a long week at work! 😉
This is exactly why you're always broke Chris Connor because of your f*****-up drug addict mentality!!! If you just learn to work hard and more importantly save and invest your money you'd be okay right now! But that's too difficult for you! Isn't it?🤦♂️ Anyway don't listen to me what do I know? I'm just a guy who lives in a dumpster behind McDonald's!!! I actually borrowed somebody's mobile just to post this comment while I asked him for change!
How do you scare a socialist? Just mention the word work! They'll scatter like the roaches they are! I don't work either but I'm okay with eating leftovers in my McDonald's dumpster! 😂😂😂
Kylo Ren the force is clearly with you
@@kyloren7070 why attack someone for enjoying something you don't, kinda rude man. plus back then it was a different time.
I love how James just walks off lol. He's like, "Whatever Billy."
Billy really proved his lead guitar greatness right here, one of my all time fave pumpkins songs
such a classic gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope u caught the 93 version from Chi town w Eric!?!?!
The best band of the era at the height of their powers.
Chris Kirshbaum this.
Other bands were good... but this band was timelessly great. We will never see another like them
Every Top Great Band of this era were all completely different. They cant be compared. My beliefs at least. You can only go by who you prefer more
I’d say 95-96 is the height of their powers personally.
@@RandyRhoadsRules3 94-95 imo
Hoooooo-leeeeee shit. Watching the guitar work of Billy Corgan in 1994 from the perspective of 2016, I feel somebody in 1955 watching Marty McFly get his Eddie Van Halen on.
feel *like* somebody
Wut
It’s songs and performances like this that explain why any pumpkins fan anywhere can instantly become friends with other pumpkins fans who’ve shared these experiences... it’s like meeting the one person in the world you can say “what? You know about this too!?!?” Ti
This is the best guitat solo ive ever heard in my life, Billy can fucking PLAY
Have you heard Soma?
And William Patrick Corgan can just shred man, outstanding!
Jimmy took over this song, awesome drummer.
Agreed. Jimmy puts drums fills in places most drummers don’t have places
Great drumming though he loses the beat a touch at the 7:01 mark.
6:00 is when the epic jam starts. Jimmy and Billy for the win!
I love D’arcy at the end! “Thank you goodnight”
I love D'arcy anytime!
Billy shreds that final solo very clean and perfect. Amazing version.
This was a highlight of this show, they nailed this one
holy crap! that is the most impressive guitar playing i have ever seen.
spatch713 Don't get me wrong Billy is a great player but Steve Vai is the man and no one even comes close.
Graham Harper Steve Vai is a one dimensional guitar player. No comparison..
Graham Harper personally I think John 5 is the man. Not a big fan of his music, but is the most technical and diverse player I have seen
Mixed the name of Stevie Ray Vaughan with Steve Vai ?
Graham Harper if i were a robot I would think steve vai is the greatest guitarist of all time. but im a human
genius at work
That's the best guitar solo I've ever heard from Billy. Excellent!
Greatness especially on the drums by Jimmy. What power!
This is one of those 'time machine' moments.
It truly is a "time machine" moment. I'll never forget scrounging up enough money from my little paper route(remember when kids delivered newspapers?) In 1994 when "Pisces Iscariot" came out. I was 14 years old then. Now I'm 42 and I feel like Tommie lee Jones in no country for old men.
@@stevesjhipacasde7204 Ah ye olde paper run! I remember schlepping around the neighbourhood for the bounty of $4/hr. The good old days :)
There will never be another band like this
Loved this song so much, my daughter is named after it!
Soul = melted
WOW , the guitar solo is Awesome !!!!!
One of their best masterpieces and compositions of their career. So deep, mellow and exhilarating all at the same time. Too bad he never knew here name
Billy fucking NAILED that solo holy shit. Genius.
Best Pumpkins song.
Fucking Jimmy Chamberlins drumming is fucking the best in the world
BC just kills that outro solo 🖤
Jimmy amazing complement
just more than great
Billy and James played off each other. Great sound together.
Stunning!
epic 90's
We were the last generation to truly keep it real 💯
3:04 Is so magical so powerful. That sums up SP.
What a drummer!!!!
Outstanding!
I mean, fuckin check that out, imagine being that cool, winding the string as he plays. Come on, FUCK! BTW I saw them on this tour 2 nights in a row in CHCH NZ.
Love these guys!!
amazinggggggg
Please tour in the UK soon one of the very few bands on my bucket list, just awesome 🎸❤️
J'Adore
One of the best concert audio recording ever.
So wild and free
damn, I'm surprised they ever played this one live
A Classic!!!
Makes me wish I gone to 50 Pumpkin shows back then instead of 50 Phish shows, or at the very least split them equally.

Billy is an absolute god.
WOW!!! I was at this show!!!
Drums sound fucking awesome
I don’t think anyone in the audience knew what this song was, or that it’s one of their best songs ever
I like the snare drum tone here.
No one can do for you like yourself
Damn!, Bill can really play that guitar here. Beautifl version, beautiful band, beautiful sog.
Watch it again and again occasionally and i just like “w” “t” “f”…The pinnacle of gee-tar and atmosphere talent. Hemingway, Beethoven, the star-filled universe and “this”. When you get your money’s worth for 20 bucks (back when)
great
Shredding Defined !!! see above ^^^ !!
Serious guitar solo!
ᵗʰᵃⁿᵏ ʸᵒᵘ, ᵍᵒᵒᵈⁿⁱᵍʰᵗ
Chicago baby
Damn, Billy was busting some Buckethead sounding shit
Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in chains, Soundgarden tough choice, so i listen to them all, all the time.
Our last selec-shi-yohn.
What is the Billy using for that microphone effect! Pretty epic!
And they called the Pumpkins and other bands alternative rock. Really? It is simply awesome rock n roll!
Does someone know what snare Jimmy’s using here?
Wow, I've been a Pumpkins fan for 30 years and I didn't know Billy could shred like this.
Why does my volume stop at 15?
A tab for this would be nice haha
Learn by ear.
You taking a shower and moving out of your mother's house would be nice also!😉
@@kyloren7070 Are you still living off the government in your Grandmothers basement?
@@xdef1ne no actually I wish.. I I could say that I was unfortunately I am
.. living in Princeton New Jersey
@@xdef1ne one of the most affluent places in the world and for that I am proud so go fuck yourself some more
D’arcy ❤❤❤ did she say thanks at the end?
What pedal is he using
Big Muff! Get One!
For which effect? Theres an eventide reverse delay in the beginning and the Jmp 1 distortion for the live *fuzz* tone. Since Billy says it sounds terrible live and too much sound. He likes the Rack preamp more for their shows. Well for these concerts.
I’m still trying to figure out the vocal effects in this song!
Wtf just happened.
no wonder Courtney hooked up with him
LOL
But... but... that solo.
IWT
No cello. Good.
missing that correct guitar tone on the outro to be honest
It's so hard trying to re create sudio tones though. The stereo flamge especially is hard for his badass solo
I thought that initially but his playing on this takes it to a totally different level than it is on the studio version.
@@phy7tes exactly. I actually love this version just as much if not more than the studio recording. The solo here is perfect.
Weird mix
You wouldn't get that now. It's political correctness gone mad
Best. Pumpkins song. EVER!
