The first and only time Zenos was funny. XD
Only Zenos would break through dimensions and reality itself just to say Hi and proceed to mock you.

He didn't say that in a sarcastic tone, though. Zenos is your #1 fan and hypes you all the way to Ultima Thule. He sincerely thinks, just like he does of anything that isn't the WoL, that everything should be beneath the WoL's notice as, in his eyes, they could wipe them out without breaking a sweat.

My little Lala in this scene had pigtails and a pink dress and called Strawberry Chesecake 🍓 so it was deciding a little less epic shall we say.

Its canon, that the Endsinger was defeated by a cute little Lalafell, empowered by millions of headpats.
GORGING
One of the best scenes in the game, It immediately made me like Zenos' character. The lines he said during the whole cutscene are just so well written. When it came down to it I ended up looking forward to fighting Zenos. Zenos character is often overlooked when compared to Sephiroth, but in this scene, the character came full circle with me, and I can honestly say I like him much more than Sephiroth.
When I heard the bang, I was screaming "HE'S HERE, HE'S HERE!!!!" Then to my surprise he broke through the firmament....as a dragon. Imagine that.

Zenos started out as cool and turned out to be one dimensional and boring.
See I see it the opposite way. He started out one dimensional and boring and ended up cool.
Clearly you didn't understand his story ark. Too much for you to comprehend.
You do not understand what one dimensional is....
Zenos is... simple, but that doesn't make him boring. How he's handled is fantastic.
Who he is, is simple. He's a man so utterly bored with everything life has to offer, that the only thing he can enjoy is the risk of death in an all-out struggle of a battle. But, he's just so POWERFUL that he can't find anyone who can push him to that extreme... until we come along. At first, sparing us is just a random whim, because "who knows, maybe they'll get stronger". Then next time we see him, we DO give him a better fight than before... it's still not enough. But it's enough to convince him that "Yes, they have the potential", so he awaits the inevitable final showdown with us. And it's _GLORIOUS._ It's everything he hoped for. Everything he wanted from us.
And then his artificial Echo means he's back... and the only thing on his mind is reclaiming that wonderful moment of bliss. Another perfect battle with the only person to have ever made him truly FEEL something other than boredom. His enemy; his friend. But he knows we're not the same. We fight for people and for causes... so once he's reclaimed his own body, and ensured his idiot dad doesn't fuck up his eventual reunion with his Black Rose bullshit, he starts causing more problems in hopes of attracting our attention, in hopes of making us angry enough to give him that blissful reprise.
But soon enough, once Fandaniel swoops in and steals the show with Zodiark, he realizes that "nope, they're gonna be focused on THIS problem now... he doesn't want to THINK about me while this is going... so I'll wait, and be patient."
And then Alisaie chews him out, and tells him that only ever thinking about himself, and ignoring everything else but his single-minded pursuit of his end goal will NEVER get him what he wants. Alisaie assumes that her words just went in one ear and out the other.
She was wrong. Those words STUCK with him, and he pondered them. And they led directly to him making a deal with Krile; offering his aid to the Scions in exchange for a way to get there, to reach the Warrior of Light. He would help them see their struggle through... and then, at long last... he would have his moment. And we give him his reward willingly.
Whether out of spite, acceptance, or a simple desire to be rid of him at long last, we give Zenos what he wants. And he _treasures_ it. With a heavy implication that he's the one who wishes that teleport handheld thingy right back into our hand at the end.
Our enemy. Our friend.
Unfortunately that goes to show that you do not understand what his character is meant to be towards the protagonist.
