if he's going to be the best he has to deal with labels. sure he is extremely young to be going through all of this but you can't ignore it and shelter him from pressure, he's playing in adult setting. he seems to have a great head on his shoulders, he's mentally way ahead of most players double his age. he's up for it.

What do other dart players need to teach Luke about crowds? Some of them should look at the way he deals with it. The crowd gets on his back and he smashes the opponent up. That's how you quieten them when they realise if they dog you up you'll smash their favourite even harder. I like Luke, he can get in the trenches and scrap it out.
exactly this, michael smith was feeling it and almost cracked against peter wright. luke dealt with the crowd in the best way possible, and it's incredible he's so mentally strong and defiant at 17
He probably is the best right now, if not he's no.2, but one without doubt, he's the best thing to happen to darts in years. He has got a new young audience, interested in darts and people, like myself, interested in darts again. I really hope he doesn't change how he plays darts and that darts doesn't change him. His likeability as a young man, is a huge part in why he's so popular, as well as being so good at it

Luke is fantastic , no arrogance whatsoever , he plays with no pressure , think about it , he doesn't have a mortgage, no wife or kids to support , the ranking system is silly , there are lots of different rankings systems , no 25 in the world ? , really ? , he's clearly much better than that , of course he will rank much higher as the season progresses but I've not found a ' in form' guide , it's all based on money won and most, if not all the players ranked above him have won their totals before Luke was professional , It would be more accurate to see an ' in form ' guide so that whoever is playing the better, most consistant darts is at the top, say month by month or in a 3 month period ,
The ' play off ' system is silly , if one player has significantly more points than the nearest rival at the end of the league fixtures , he should not have to go to a ' play off ' , he's already won , it seems silly that the most consistant player over months can end up not winning the trophy , it's crazy.
It hasn't taken long for Luke Litler to get to this period of domination. I think that he is now ready and that period has began. He has found a new level and that level will continue to rise, with all the others looking up at him.The new Taylor. Let's hope he does not get as irritating a person as Taylor was.
It's up to the others to up their game to stop him.

My only concern with him is his stamina to withstand a year-long tour, and obviously so far he has shown this isn't a problem,.
It will also be interesting to see how he handles the New York City media.
Luke is a credit to himself, his family and his generation. The way he conducts himself...humble, respectful, polite, just a young lad doing what he loves, absolutely fantastic!!!

Littler is certainly the in form player at the moment but it’s mostly short format premier league. I still think Humphries in longer formats is the player to beat. He has gears and comeback ability . Time will tell though!

@@smashyrashy Mate, it's short format darts where all you need to do is hold your throw for 5 legs or find 1 break inside 5 legs and you've won the game. It only takes about 15 mins a game. Over long format darts he's not faced a top player since Cross or Humphries at the World's and he's 1-1 in that sphere. Until a full season has finished you can't give someone who hasn't won a major the title of best player yet... that still belongs to Humphries by far.

This kid is the best,, van gerwen is not as good as he was in 2015-19 That era is gone for van gerwen,, Anderson is good on his day still but not consistent like he was 2015-19 same as mvg,

This is short format darts, first to 6 legs takes about 10 mins without the intros or announcers. Until the Cross in the World's, he hasn't faced a top 10 player and he won 1, lost 1 in that sphere. Everyone's won Euro tours and hit 9's, the only thing amazing about it is the age. But give him a full season, let him win a major or two and prove he has the stamina to last through a game. Until then Humphries by far is the best player currently, even MVG from last seasons form has claims to 2nd.
He's going to be tested when he plays in spells over a long format and goes down a set or two or suffers 2 or 3 breaks in straight legs. I've only ever seen MVG or Humphries in the last year able to find the grit to outlast their opponent and comeback, Luke until the final of the World's has never gone that far behind in a long game with a lot of time to go yet. All this mental game and stamina will be tested then
