  • I really enjoyed this song!!! It was another one of my favorites. And I don't want anyone to get me wrong, I love this band!!! BUT... I do think the fact that the girls are so loved themselves by their fans, says more about them than the music... I think some people get personally attached to the band and that slightly boosts their opinion of the music. It's great music for sure though! I just think it's very easy to love Pau, Dany, and Ale so much that anything they do is just perfect. Am I wrong for saying this..? LOL let me know down below. Thank you all so much for watching!!!!

    I see your point, but I think you may have it backwards. We older generations in TWA LOVE their music, and that we love them as people is just a bonus! We grew up with and miss very much, the music of our youth. The Warning's music is very familiar, yet fresh for us. Imagine your favorite artists/genres of today all but disappear from the mainstream 30 years from now. Then along comes an artist that is VERY young and breathes new life into it. On top of it, we see our own children, nieces/nephews reflected in them! Then you can appreciate the love we have for them!

      Agreed. If anything, their engaging personalities and good looks can sometimes, and to some people, stand in the way of actually appreciating the quality and depth of their music. XXICB and QOTMS are amazing albums, even if you never got to see who recorded them.
      Both can be true at the same time: they are amazing artists, *and* they are amazing people, that make you root for them.

    Us older people have been starving for good, straight ahead rock and roll for 20 years. They do have an blend of punk and metal that makes it their own genre. Dont get me wrong, there have been good bands over the last 2 decades but nothing that has created the addiction we have for them.
    The music is what attracted us and we do have a caring for them personally because they have made themselves open and available.

    Then you see them doing something unexpected like Pau playing a jazz combo on her kit and Ale jumping in ooand doing an intricate bass line around it. Or you have Dany playing an acoustic guitar around a pop song she likes and then she breaks into a bluesy riff. That's when you realize that their own music is written to be catchy and it doesn't even approach how individually excellent each of them is on their instruments. Never forget that all three of them play piano extremely well and Dany and Ale play Saxophone. I'm sure they could listen to anything a few times, rehearse it for a day or two and go out on stage and nail it live. I don't think there is anything beyond them. If you look at the bands they have followed for most of their lives the list includes an eclectic bunch for sure: Billy Joel, Queen, Pink Floyd, Rush, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, and Muse just to name a few. But they also listen to K-Pop and J-Pop. All that gets melded into the mix is a magical way making it sound both familiar and unique at the same time. Let's face it, three chords and a 4/4 beat is all you need to write a Rock song. TW thrown in a 7/8 timing for the chorus just to make it interesting. Then they layer in harmonies, because they can, and stack different octaves for the guitar to give it more fullness. They structure their music to be entertaining not only for the audience but also themselves. After all, once they record something they will be playing it live for a good while. Their music is never dull or boring. There are some songs on each of their albums that I don't put on repeat. But they are not filler songs by any means. And everyone of their audience has a different set of favorites. That's part of why we love them.

    • @CrazyAwesome
      @CrazyAwesome  Před 6 dny +1

      The mix of styles and influences, the intricacies in the way they craft their songs, the way they are inspired by different genres and sounds, the way they connect with their audience and interact with them... the way they all can stand on their own but come together as a cohesive unit.... is what makes them so skilled and professional. Beautiful work here and your comment was amazing!!! 🤘🎸

    You're totally right. I've tried to make this point but not so eloquently. They're often, like in Amour, more of a phenomenon than a 'track'. People, myself included, fall in love with them as much as enjoy their music. And it's good to point this out because cults are weird. -spellbound but conscious
    Nonetheless, their songwriting sort of stands at juxtaposition to this: It's actually excellent on so many levels. The spell they cast is both real and unreal, if that makes sense.
    What I'd previously been focused on in this regard is that because they've been able to develop their music together in relative isolation from the world, and grow up, in relative isolation from the world, that their portrayal of vulnerability lacks any guile. It's genuine. They have a much higher threshold for becoming 2nd-citizens-unto-themselves (not sure how to say it, forget the psych term). In a way they have become adults while keeping something most of us lose, a sort of forthright childlike honesty. It's incredibly disarming but also a bit 'witchy'.

    The music first! They happened to have great personalities and humble, and not the most important but is not their fault they happened to be pretty, but being pretty is not talent.You haven’t heard music like this ever. The creativity is out of this world! I’m 67 and I’ve heard and seen great bands over the years and I can tell you these girls have and old soul and have the ability to make great music from the last four decades sometimes within the same song, certainly the same album. Unfortunately young people like yourself obviously haven’t experienced this phenomenon and it’s not your fault. You and many other young people are too young to be experiencing what we baby boomers and gen-x know that there is no other band like The Warning, doing what they are doing. That’s why fans are saying they are the greatest band out there. I don’t agree with that statement but The Warning is certainly on the way there.

    • @CrazyAwesome
      @CrazyAwesome  Před dnem

      I think you missed my point and honestly I do love The Warning, but I've heard a few rock bands that are arguably more creative and very enjoyable. I'm not saying this as a bad thing to The Warning, but there are lots of great rock bands out there that you just have to find!
      I think The Warning is amazing, however I was just saying that I noticed people gravitate towards The Warning and are VERY closely acquainted with their personalities, back story, etc. The passion is strong for this band which is a great thing. I was just also raising the question if that makes people more biased towards their music, that's all. It's not a bad thing to be biased as everyone is biased towards certain things but I was just raising that question and thought. Just because I'm younger doesn't mean I don't understand things like soul and passion and integrity! Not trying to be rude at all btw. Just my two cents 🤘

    I will always watch this clip . Just for Dany's French bit. It is so..............
    I have a different take on your comments about liking the music because of their personalities. I am a 71 year old cynic, that has played and listened to music since I was very young. Here is a test to see if you like the music as separate from the personalities, listen to them in the car where you cannot watch them. Especially if you can listen to the live ones in that situation. The music completely stands out . Are they my favourite band ? No, Nightwish is. But give me a chance to listen to the Warning and it's gonna happen. My biggest love of the Warning is the way they make me feel, perhaps despite? their technical proficency ( yeah I know that's a strange concept). I also want to see where they go with their music, because it has the potential to be somewhere amazing. That is providing they don't go " Eh! done enough of this. Want to do something different."

      I think you either misunderstood me or maybe I wasn't clear enough. I didn't say you only like the music because of their personalities. I was saying I think their personalities have an influence on how much fans actually like the music. The music is great, however I think things like energy, facial expressions, personality and charisma also plays into how much some fans love their songs/music. You hear me? I'm saying that obviously they have awesome music and I think they're great. However I think since they're such amazing and awesome charismatic people, it also makes fans more likely to love their music since it translates.
      I totally get that though. Music isn't about how "technical" it is, it's all about how it makes you feel! And these ladies have such a bright future. @@CrazyAwesome Please don't take me as criticising your comment out of hand. I get exactly what you are saying. My point was to suggest a test ( of any band actually) to see if you are reacting to the people or the band. You did comment using the word "but" about when making the point about liking their personalities influencing the experience of their music. I feel that"and" rather than "but" would be a touch more accurate. Their personalities' niceness doesn't negate their music, it adds too your enjoyment of them. A feeling that they "deserve" your affection. I often close my eyes when first listening to any new song by anybody's vids ( or even live in person) to isolate the total music from the vision.
      I really appreciate your reactions, and will comment where I feel I can add something. I am extremely unlikely to take "offence" on behalf of a band. That's their job.

      @CrazyAwesome  Před 10 dny +1

      @@gregjetnikoff7124 Honestly you're right, using "and" would be better than saying "but" or "however". Bad choice of wording on my part! And that's honestly a really interesting way to listen to a band to see if you're enjoying the music or the people more. I totally hear you and I just used incorrect wording here. I really didn't mean to insinuate it was taking away from their music. It only adds to it! And I appreciate your insight and I wasn't mad or upset. I'm not taking it out of hand at all and I appreciate you sir. 🤝💙

    I agree with that opinion. I also have a potentially controversial opinion - I think the guitar isn't really that interesting in their songs. By that I mean it's mostly these singe-note-at-a-time riffs, then it's power chords during verses and then the riff comes back for the chorus or after the chorus. The leads are always pretty simple too when they happen.

    • @CrazyAwesome
      @CrazyAwesome  Před 11 dny +2

      I can definitely see that. The first time I ever played The Warning, I played "23" and it was a lot of single note leads. They were very cool, but nothing WOW. I did enjoy the song a lot but it was nothing absolutely amazing. Although if you like that style that's cool, but for me a lot of their leads aren't TOO interesting. Although most of the time it's soild. It is very good sounding though! I think it's just people love Dany so much. Which she is great!

    To me the craze comes from rock fans being starved for a couple of decades, with RAP/hip-hop completely taking over and now finally having a band that steadily releases solid rock music, that feels like classic rock while sounding modern at the same time. When is the last time we had a rock band that released 4 albums chuck-full of great songs; AC/DC in late 70s/early 80s, Metallica in the mid-80s? Add to that the fact that they are one of the best live act I have ever seen in my 4 decades of going to live shows, them being sisters and their personalities, and it is an incredible set of circumstances.
    Also you have not reacted to a ton of their behind the scenes, VLOGs, Interviews, etc., otherwise I think you would get the fondness. 😉
    Although I do agree that some fans go overboard, losing grip with reality and those can be quite annoying.
