Cata is great fun, but as a shadow priest, i think MoP was our best expansion.
I was topping the dps charts with heroic dungeon gear in dragon soul raid with unholy dk and combat rogues.

Fire Mage. Cata was peak Fire Mage design, pressing Combustion felt so cool. It's a shame what they did to Fire in Legion.

combustion stuned in mop but most ppl tend to go frost mage.
@@TatsuyaWow ah, didn't know that started in MoP, yeah MoP is even better then. WoD deserves points too because Meteor was added and it was OP AF back then
dueling in mop as fire was so fun but not in arena the setup was so hard to do but if it work tend to kil ppl in deep freeze or close it . the dispel really hurt fire mage. in the US i think at the top of the ladder there where 3 max glad mage at best

They can with sprint.
@@plasticbudgie , Stampeding roar also works, and if you are a resto druid that is the only other situation that you can break from roots as a druid (resto can break with any form switch).

I still remember my first raid attempt as shadow, i barely pushed 10k dps which was the minimum the group needed and i fell in love with the class after i hit some pvp

All I remember about Shadow in Cata PvP is getting destroyed by ferals. IMO MoP Shadow is my favorite. =)
@Bruce-fq3ho shadow priest was never bottom of the pack and really began to shine in ICC. My spriest was always competitive in DPS.
Balance Druid since classic first released. Not stopping now either.

I main a war and have played some cata servers such as whitemane. I really love warrior pvp. Sure it isnt the best class overall but i mean its still very viable in 2s and in 3s. it does a ton of damage and has good defensive cds and utility. Its very capable of getting to R1.

@williamanderson6006 mop pvp is very obviously second to cata pvp. Blizz even admits classes were homogenized in mop. This lead to the infamous prune.

cata for ele is just waiting room for Mist of Pandaria. best ele design in wow history spamming out instant proc lava bursts oneshotting people left and right

It was super fun in bgs for it's crazy aoe dmg but since you're a giant fat bird you're super easy to spot and they will train you.

Think your private server data is scewing this, combat rogue was t only the top rogue spec but top melee spec, throughout cata its competitive with feral Druid until dragon soul when the legendary z pop in. Sub can shine but only in perfect speed clears it falls off below assassination on this list im linking if the fights go on to long only mages demo locks and marks hunters out dps a combat rogue.
sub rogue is 1000000000000000000000000x better than combat in pvp, which is what this video is about..
Ele was absolutely awful to play as in Cata because you were alwaaaays the target. It worked best with a really good mage. Even when you were casting your damage was kinda trash lol. It only had really good burst.
now warrior is an high skill class
Holy paladin crit spec is the op healer. Dont make your paladins spec spirit.

Rogue is broken. All else aside. Think of this.
Enraged Regen is a 30% hp heal, 2 min cd.
Rogue recuperate heals for 3% your per 3 sec. 1% hp per 1 sec.
Buffed to 4% by talent. And 6% less damage taken.
Also makes you take 20% more healing from all sources including itself. So another 0.8. Round up to 1.
Recuperate heals you 5% hp per 3sec perma. Not kidding up at all times. Heals as much as a enraged regen tik. It's a joke.

from my xp pservers arcane becomes somewhat viable in s11 when they can get insane amounts of haste. But i hope blizz makes some changes to them in classic.

Hearing you talk about recouperate is enough for me to not even want to play cata pvp again... It was such bs that they could self heal better than every other class and keep resetting games until they won.

Cata one the worst expansions for pvp. It's all what u need to know.
some corrections based on playing private servers:
All 3 shaman specs r viable
All 3 priest specs r viable to some degree. Holy is just hard to play.
All 3 warlock specs r viable, tho destro is easily the worst of them.
BM hunter is viable. Survival can work if you make it.
Blood dk is viable if u wanna make the other team hate u forever.
But yeah just some things I’ve seen working on cata pservers.
@@blairewhiteradicalextremis7765 Private servers do not relate to retail.. private servers have some of the most awful mouth breathing players I've ever seen and cata classic will be completely different because most of the actual top tier pvpers will be playing it at leaset at first.
