    This is the best tutorial on how to do a retriever clip on a PWD. I have spent hours watching videos to gain confidence in clipping my own PWD, and if I had seen this one first, I could have saved myself so much time! Amazing. Really great job. Would love you to do a tutorial on a Lion's Clip.

    I've been grooming my PWD pup since I got her in February but the face has been a bit of trial and error. This is the best video I've seen for doing a Portie face in the retriever clip. Thanks so much for the great video!

    This is the video I review when I need a confidence boost and reminder- thanks so much, Pam! Now if you ever want to video a lion cut pet trim , I’d love that too! It’s so nice only having “half the hair” lol
    Blending ears into face is the hard part for me w my wavy guy, the top of his head is a lot more “floppy” -thanks again!

    Thank you for such a calm energy and yet being so efficient! There are an unfortunate number of videos of PWDs being trimmed too aggressively. Wilson looks like he is doing a great job :) I will definitely be watching this again when I am able to have a PWD in the future :))

    This has been the most helpful and clearly instructed video, SO encouraging, I’m going to try and give my pwd a trim. Thanks again!

    I have been grooming our Portie’s for about 10 years, self taught and figuring it out as I go. This is the best tutorial by far! Would love to see a wavy lion clip. I struggle mostly with the front legs as I keep them long but it gets away from me because he hates me working on those legs.
    Great job, very good interaction with the dog!

    Thank you so much! I just groomed my 6 and a 1/2 month old from watching this. And it was his first time. I just have to finish his legs and belly tomorrow. We have a 14 year old, that we always had groomed. Since Covid I’ve been doing him. Groomer never did it quite right anyway.❤️

    I really like this muzzle style. Doodles should be done this way too!
    It's cute AND less likely to get nasty with water and food.

    Gorgeous! I have a water fog tomorrow and I’ve never groomed one before and this gave me a little more confidence for tomorrow. Thank you so much. Amazing work. Keep it up and much appreciated

    This is an excellent video clip on how to groom your pwd! Luv it. Thanks for posting. I have learned to do my own and this would have been helpful viewing when I first started.

    Doing the nether regions first means a cool clipper in this sensitive region. Good place to start!

    I groom my own pwd, and I lost the line! Thank you so much for posting this. She looks like a Portie again! I didn't see your blades listed, would you mind sharing?

    This is very helpful! I'm wondering if you have any tips on what to do if your dog has mats? All the groomers are closed and we bought clippers but unsure how to start. Thanks!

      If your dogs is really matted to the skin though then you can't use the attachments and you have to shave short

    Pam, as a new PWD I greatly appreciate your video! You mentioned you were going to post the products you used (mainly the clippers). Can you point me in the right direction to view the tools and products used in this video? Thanks in advance.

  • @anaziegler6311

    Is it normal for the dog to cooperate for this long time. I mean the video is 45minutes. Is this done in one session without brakes? I wouldn't be this calm in the salon for more than 15-20 minutes.

    • @pambober6419
      @pambober6419  Před 3 lety +1

      Sure. Wilson is trained. Most of the dogs I groom cooperate for the hour. However puppies are another story, they learn and get better with each trim

  • @anneweprin

    do you ever use the clippers on the face? If so, which size?

    • @pambober6419
      @pambober6419  Před 4 lety

      Yes you can. You can use a 2 inch on the top of the head and sides of face and ears. Then on the muzzle I might try a 1/2 inch

  • @CarlieBond
    @CarlieBond Před 3 lety

    Is it fine for me to just do this exact trim on my doodle 😅 you mentioned leaving the muzzle longer and one length on doodles but… this is sooo cute.

    Why is the dog yelping when you pull out the ear hair if it doesnt hurt??

    • @pambober6419
      @pambober6419  Před 4 lety

      It doesn't hurt really, but it feels funny to alot of dogs and they don't like it. It should not hurt unless if course the ear is infected
