Wanted to se if the new Aspen fuel had made some cleaning during the night. And it had it was running much better. Next try will be with some Racing Aspen fuel! Tonys Toymans Superbikecollection
The Yamaha YZF-R7 OW02 is a race homologation motorcycle of limited production run of only 500 units. It was designed to compete in the Superbike World Championship and Suzuka 8 Hours endurance races.
It has a 749 cc (45.7 cubic inches), 20-valve (5 valves per cylinder) inline-four engine DOHC producing 107 hp (80 kW), or 139 hp (104 kW) when the other, unused bank of fuel injectors is activated, and over 162 hp (120 kW) in race trim.
The R7 was built for racing 'out of the box', implied by the chassis, which was derived from information and geometry from the YZR500 machines of the period. The R7 was specified with Öhlins suspension components, a shortened Deltabox II frame and weight of just slightly over the 162 kg (360 lb) minimum of superbike regulations.
The intentions of the R7 were further underlined, with its designation of "OW-02" and the lack of any pillion/passenger provision.

This is such a modern looking bike for it's age. You could roll this onto a showroom floor in 2016 and nobody would know the difference except for the tail section.

Yep... that have that piece of the market completely cornered. It's a shame too because there's a big difference between 600's and 1000's in terms of power and some people make the jump too soon.

Taijean Moodie It's all thanks to sbk relinquishing the 750cc races. I loved those 750cc races more than the 900cc races. Cause it's fun to watch a bunch of Kawasakis and Suzuki 750 bikes run down Ducati and Honda's 900cc bikes. Then Yamaha came out with this bull shit bike and it just wasn't even fair anymore.

@HaLoFoOoL49 you are thinking of the r6 not the r7. the r7 are so rare u will not find one. The r6 and the ninja 650 are not even close! 650r is 2 cylinders and the r6 is 4 cylinder. the r6 is the best choice by far. i would go gsxr 750 if i were you BEST BIKE EVER

HI, timeline says 1988 to 2002, and Superbikerules of that time. So there is a 996R 2001 in the garage. The factorys homologisation-special for Superbike, the oneseaters are all SEX ON WHEELS. Kind regards Tony

Hi, trying to focus on the bikes, homologation-bikes for the SuperBike-era 1988 untill 2002. The NR750 I think is in a to high pricelewel! Garage is now jan 2013 full.

TonysSuperBikeGarage thats awesome! I just had the majority of it powder coated, the frame polished. Now I'm just trying to get her running. She has all new jets but probably need to sync the carbs. The fuel pump was bad so I'm waiting for that to come in the mail and hopefully after about 13 years of sitting in a garage she will start! Do you mind if I contact you for any questions? I'm new to the bike world and will most likely run into questions because of the rarity of this bike!

That's probably just gummed up injectors. Not sure if you have it over in the UK, Chevron or Caltex Techron Fuel Injector Cleaner concentrate. Has PEA, polyethylamine which really cleans well.

Craig Buckingham Hi, its a restricted version. Bu must be hoonest..... do not know if the restricten is there. ....... Its not used a lot..... low kilometer. I have driven it for 120 kilometer. It was a little used when i bought it... asome years ago, yes for my SuperBikeCollection!

Hi jhirai80. Yes its no good. I think you are on the spot, right. I am on may way getting the collection filled up with Sta.Bil fuelstabilizer. A also will adabt the drain and burn out fuel technic on the bikes with a fuelshutoff. I dont know what ti think about the fuelinjected with the pump in the tank...... full or empty tank?

A lot of motor failures with the r7. Pretty expensive turkey at the time and im sure the people who bought them new were really pissed off

Its in its ord restricted condition, only 100HP...... ;-(
it's very pitiful because on a racing spec ver. it could touch up to 150 hp
but for me 100hp is very fast because I only ride a 150cc bike :-)
the fastest bike I've ridden is cbr 250..
