Chuck always relied on his own ability to absorb a punch. As soon as that started to fade so did Chuck's career. He was legit my favorite and still one of my favorite fighters ever. Joe is full of shit. Chuck was never the aggressor in his fights. Chuck was a counter fighter. He reacted to what his opponents did and relied on his jaw holding up in order to counter.
All very well to say he didn’t evoke and wasn’t an artist- the fact is he was a large contributor to building the sport, was a champion and the best of the best, fought them all,, is a Hall of Famer and a legend- who even in the MMA world knows your name, dear?
If chuck won everybody would be saying he's still got it. But because tito knocked him out theyre blaming the promoter, the network, his team and even tito. Their golden boy has been slumped once again.
Joe doesn’t even know Chucks age, really? He’s 48 Joe, you’ve only been covering The UFC since the beginning WOW! Slow down with the drugs dude!!! Your 50 joe not Chuck!!
Evolve my ass lol. Zero to do with that. He began losing cause he got OLDER. Put him at 30 again and maybe he wouldnt be champ but he would still be a top 5 no doubt. Chuck had hands that would knock you cold...that hasnt gotten better. You either can put a person to sleep or cant. He was insanely hard to take down AND KEEP DOWN. He didnt need a great ground game cause you couldnt keep him there. That wouldnt be different today either. Olympic wrestlers had trouble holding him down then and if he got his youth back today the same thing would happen. Yes MMA has evovled since just the ground game...But you have fighters today who do what Chuck did then and are very successful. Good standup and able to stuff takedowns...will still take you to the top of the food chain.
Spills51 not to mention, prior to him being knocked out later in his career he had an iron chin. We all know once that button gets pushed that you’re an easy knockout, but before that, he never got phased by hits. Just took them and gave them back 150% harder. Still love Chuck aside from that wack ass “fight” the other day.
He had too much partying throughout all his active fighting career showing up with a beer belly and in a daytime TV interview on coke unable to talk properly. He was doing fine because he was young and the athleticism level was very low at the time most people were skilled in only one discipline. Same as George's when he partied for 2 months straight before Matt Sera. To Chuck's credit I think he showed up in great shape and looked great until 30 seconds before the fight he started looking at the crowd and seemed confused and not focused.
Fascinating that Chuck evolved an aggressive, marauding style. Anderson is a counter striker . The game moved past these styles to counter them and incorporate well rounded skillsets.
Not sure if your saying that the game has moved past Silva style or just Liddell's but if you are you really don't know what your talking bout cause Silva was way more then just a counter striker smh he was a elite grappler and has legit 3rd degree black belt in BJJ under the Nogueira's also rear naked choked Dan Henderson absolutely one of the greatest wrestlers to step in the cage with his Greco wrestling was absolutely an beast in the clinch and in the ground n pound but only was submitted 4 times in his whole career which was by the Nogueira brothers, Silva and Cormier smh obviously the other 3 was all alot bigger then Silva and wasn't middleweight fights which is saying alot of Silva's skills grappling! Adesanya isnt even a poor mans Silva he's a poor mans poor mans Silva lmfao Silva would dominate against today's competition just like he had in his without a doubt also as for Lidell he was strong ASF and had elite takedown defense along with a chin made of steel in prime guys that would try and take him down risked major risk if getting KO'd ya his marauding style was really wide open for taking hit but it allowed him to keep a very wide base for takedowns defense and he wasn't worried bout taking hits due to his chin. Sure there is guys alit more well rounded then Lidell was skill wise but some times all it takes is to have the couple skill sets that your so dam elite in that other have no chance. For example Khabib and Islam those guys are gonna do one thing and that's take you down smash you pass your guard into a too mount and have their way with their opponent yet everyone knows that but good luck stopping them from doing that
As for sayen Liddell came forward a lot that’s bs . He was a counter puncher and he made u chase him and he countered . Tru he got into wild exchanges but for the most part he used a lotta footwork and countering
Nick B what does it being legal there have anything to do what i said? Chuck completely lost his abilities and this fight shouldn’t have occurred. He looked punch drunk, and his punch attempts looked like something from a 60 year old. Tito had a great career, but there was nothing impressive about this fight, he fought Liddells ghost
She had some backhanded insults aimed at Liddell in this clip. She apparently has no idea how great Chuck was in his day. He was not one dimensional, and he did evolve, while at the same time staying true to his style. Every fighter, no matter how great, reaches the end of the line. I found her pretty arrogant, and pretty disrespectful. "I've never been knocked out". Well, you don't fight in 210 lb weight class where everyone gets knocked out. Chuck won 5 straight title fights!
I didn't like her either, there's nothing cool about her arrogance. It comes across like she's just a stuck up snob that feels like she's elevating herself by kicking a downed champion.

Doesn't matter . They are both around the same age and both agreed to fight .
Joe is full of shit. Chuck was never the aggressor in his fights. Chuck was a counter fighter. He reacted to what his opponents did and relied on his jaw holding up in order to counter.
Chuck walked into the arena like an old man.
She’s not bad for being 43
Is it me or is there are alot of creeps in the comments.
Samuel ip
it's you projecting
Samuel welcome to CZcams.
Clear projection

All very well to say he didn’t evoke and wasn’t an artist- the fact is he was a large contributor to building the sport, was a champion and the best of the best, fought them all,, is a Hall of Famer and a legend- who even in the MMA world knows your name, dear?
All that is true... But so is saying that he didn't evolve as a fighter. They're not mutually exclusive.
Robert Gornick she wouldn’t have the knowledge to see his evolution even if he did
She is clueless
@@bigtreecombatacademy2927 Except that's not what I'm talking about. Don't try to argue points I didn't make.
Robert Gornick maybe he did evolve she just couldn’t tell
He made many adjustments as his career went on mainly in stance
@@bigtreecombatacademy2927 Adjustment is not evolution. She's right. He never truly evolved as a fighter.
If chuck won everybody would be saying he's still got it. But because tito knocked him out theyre blaming the promoter, the network, his team and even tito. Their golden boy has been slumped once again.
Toto got an assist from father time he's still got luke warm sweet tea running through his veins.
I would walk across a bridge of sharks just to hear her fart through a walky talky
This is a good line, but I don't want to believe that you've used it more than once.
Would you walk through a mile of her shit to find out where it came from?
Yeah plus you said it wrong, it’s I would drag my ballsack across a mile of broken glass, not a bridge of sharks
LMAO
Really? She's that hot to you? I mean she's pretty, yeah but I don't know about all that.
Joe doesn’t even know Chucks age, really? He’s 48 Joe, you’ve only been covering The UFC since the beginning WOW! Slow down with the drugs dude!!! Your 50 joe not Chuck!!
Joe being in the ufc means your a high level fighter rogan. Cm punk: wow thanks joe
Chuck looked like he was in shape and out of shape at the same time
I had no idea this girl was an expert in MMA. She should run the UFC. The way she talks, she must be the best in the business.
just how much does she really know about the business. the business.
if she did, she wouldn't be taking brain damage for pennies.
Haha it's called sarcasm... You'll get it if you think long enough🤣
NICK G well she’s actually a fighter... why are you so salty?
Nice
He has that sick ass sprawl and brawl style!
His chin turned to glass and he became slower. Otherwise, prime chuck could hang with the elites in his division rn for sure
Spills51 not today he wouldn’t
IT WAS NOT A KNOCK OUT IT WAS A SENIOR MOMENT!...................
I agree with her on artist have evolution. Singers do it all the time. I box, like to write story's and paint. And I'm always trying to evolve.
She didn't watch the fight. She said she watched the end. It lasted like 2 minutes
It lasted near a full round. They were running around until the finishing sequence which was around 10 seconds AKA, the end of it.
You know what i don’t get ? How guys in this comment want to discredit a woman. Y’all hella weird lol
And you’re just a thirsty bitch 😂
Phil brooks vs the iceman , who you got?
Who is the guest?
she reminds me of those female sport reporters who pretend they care about ball games
Just let me smell it.......
What if you're disappointed?
Cod or salmon... what you think boys
Only if you let me stick a hose up my swamp ass and breathe it in beer bongs style
Oh, I remember her. She landed that super illegal knee on Jessamyn Duke and Invicta actually gave her knock out of the night. Unbelievable.
I like how she's making fun of guys who act like they've made it when they get to the UFC... bitch when did you make it to the UFC?
Don’t like this persons vibe
Because youll never be a world champion at anything. champions think different to normal people
Vince King it’s really not that deep. I don’t like her vibe, was watching the podcast live and i just thought she was pandering to Joe a lot
Okay. And?
JACQUES 1229 I don’t really like people that pander to other people? Personally I think she’s too keen to agree with Joe. Just my opinion
She's just rambling nonsense.
What the fook is the name of that baddie????
I thought people loved round one KO’s
Exactly their both grown men making money together
Never heard of this chick and she sounds like she doesn't know what she's talking about. The UFC isn't a participation trophy, lol my god
She was a fighter
She is miriam nakanoto 8x world muay thai champ lol
Nakamoto****
They gave one to CM Punk though...twice.
She's a nobody as far as MMA goes. Don't know why she's even on the podcast
I would love to see Tito or Chuck on this show at some point
Anybody who saw chuck shadowbox and let him fight “were never his friend”
you can tell this chick is totally stoned
He is now an old man in the fighting game. Far beyond his prime. When he was getting knocked out in 2007 he was past his best never mind 2018.
Nick B how?? Why is it everyone comments somebodys stoned on every youtube video? All because youre a pothead dont mean everybody else is!
@@johnnyseahorse3588 its legal in california dude. Chill
Nick B what does it being legal there have anything to do what i said? Every youtube video has a pothead saying “omg theyre so high” there was a funny video of squirrel sliding down a pole with olive oil on it over and over with a guy on there laughing the whole time. Everybody was commenting how high the guy was.. the thing is you dont have to be high to think thats funny as hell. Potheads think the only way to enjoy life is to be high. Fucking idiots.
I'm a little dumber watching this girl and Joe agree with each other!
Chuck completely lost his abilities and this fight shouldn’t have occurred. He looked punch drunk, and his punch attempts looked like something from a 60 year old. Tito had a great career, but there was nothing impressive about this fight, he fought Liddells ghost
Can anyone tell me who she is im curious i wanna see if she’s as dominant fighter as she saying
He's 48 not 50
Surely Joe should know that. The mis information he spreads is astounding

Who’s he interviewing ?
Good for Chuck for doing what he loves..
