- 2006 Hummer H3 3.5L, 5 cylinder, Base.
Error Code reads: Code P0304 indicated that cylinder 4 had too many misfires within a predetermined period of time.
Here is a video on how to fix this problem and never worry about it again. Instead of just fixing that particular cylinder, I went ahead and just fixed all the cylinders at once. From the spark plugs to the ignition coils, everything is in one spot making it easy to replace.
Thank you for this!!
How did it work out for ya?
Tnx
Bet you had rough idle after that repair! It looked to me that you forgot to reattach the PCV hose under the resonator box.
Thanks
Never put Dielectric grease on the spark plug electrode. It's an electric insulator. Good for the boot but not for the node.
Cut the music.
Hey 👋🏻 Great channel,,, I’m a proud owner of a 2008 H3,,, done a lot of work to it but still one problem remains,,, upon starting sometimes the engine will chug and seems like it’s about to stall,,, then catches its self and starts running fine,,, when warmed up it doesn’t do it at all, just first start of the day usually,,, I’ve replaced the hose under the air box beside the throttle body,,, cleaned the throttle body,,, replaced plugs and coils,,, replaced MAF sensor,,, I thought I had this beat but it almost stalled the other day,,,, anyone else experienced this or any other trouble shooting hints for me:)
Cullen I have been experiencing the same problem. My Hummer H3 will chug along like you say and I can press the gas all the way to the floor and nothing happens. Then all of a sudden BOOM, we're good to go. I really would like to know what the problem is. My Mechanic fixes the problem temporarily, but it always comes back. I will ask him what he does and get back to you.
Hey guys, I am having this exact same problem with my 2007 H3, did you happen to find the solution to the stalling issue?
I’m not entirely sure what causes it but I notice that if you let your engine run for about two or three minutes, especially in colder weather it causes it not to do it
Been having this issue too, I just run some marvel mystery oil or some kind of treatment/cleaner in the gas and it goes away for me until I fill up without it then the tank after that it starts back up. Since that is working it kind of rules out a vacuum leak, but it still feels to me some sort of vacuum issue to me. I’d rather have the Alpha with the 5.3, I think this motor is a turd.
Please take this as constructive criticism but that video was of poor quality. The content was good but the voice volume was terribly low and the music volume was excessively high. I'm betting a lot of people clicked off on this in a hurry because of that.
Agreed. The background music is super unnecessary.
