    Thanks for this. I used PiAware/SkyAware, but it doesn't show helicopters. I seem to be in a flight path and get buzzed by a lot of low flying military aircraft. We had a Chinook go over and it shook the house.

    Another great video Jason. As a raspberry pi fan, I need to look into this, as we recently moved from Sacramento up to southern Oregon coast. 73, Mike - KK7LL

    Thanks for the video Jason. Make pick one of these up for the 978mhz frequency. I already feed for FlightAware and love it. As an soon to be pilot I use it to track my training.

      Oh good deal! How is the internet when flying the smaller planes? I wonder if a program like this could be run on a tablet while flying to see other traffic around you.

      @@HamRadioTV Adsb traffic is used on pilot apps such as Foreflight and believe Garmin uses it in theirs as well.

    How come some aircraft dont send out a transponder code but a lot do? I thought all needed transporders on so they are seen all the time?

    • @HamRadioTV
      @HamRadioTV  Před 2 lety

      I know some of the smaller ones are not required. Also, I would guess some agencies can turn theirs off depending on the sensitivity of their flight.
