    Part of the reason his voice is being “strained” is because Taka(singer) was actually sick and this was about the 20th song they had performed that night. Concert started about an hour late due to Taka not being well.

      My man Taka out here sick, the band tired, and they still delivered such a masterpiece. It's like every time I listen to them, I fall in love again.

    They don't do anime ost bcoz they said they don't want to be a band for anime, tho some of their songs were usually used in fanmade video for some animes. But they did sang the ost of the live action anime of Samurai X which is Roruoni Kenshin. They sang all the 5 Ost's of that franchise since it has a total of 5 movies.
    Info: Concerts in Japan don't allowed cellphones and other recording device esp. with this kind of big venue. That is how they show they respect the artists. But some instances, they used cp but not for recording, for flashlights. There are some concerts of OOR that happened

    I was the one who suggested this one. Enjoyed the reaction! “Renegades” and “broken heart of gold” are some of my favorites by them as well. They all made me cry XD

    Just to give you a little background on why the audience is so into the song... The song was written for the younger generation 18 year olds. They had young adults submit videos of them, and the band as a whole watched and every one of them and chose 1000 of them to sing this song for the 18 fes. That's a very emotional version to check out. But basically, when the song was written, the legal voting age in Japan had been changed to 18. A lot of the older generation was not for that, thinking that these young adults should just work. The band usually ends their shows with this song because of the impact and message it has. Even as an older guy, this song gets me every time. It's meant to be a message to inspire people and to push forward. And it works. All of OOR songs have deep meanings and messages. Deep rabbit hole to go down, but worth it!
    Edit: I wrote this half way through your video. When you said he put a lot of soul into this, That is exactly how Taka and the others are. You should check out Stand out Fit in next. Another very powerful and emotionally charged song. Also, check Taka's cover of Hello by Adelle. He has a seriously powerful voice.

    What always gets me isn't just that you can hear the crowd singing the sections taka doesn't (even if it's kinda hard to hear a bit in places), but he straight up harmonizes with them at the end.

    • @mlm5150
      @mlm5150 Před rokem

      The parts that the audience is singing, were actually written for the audience.

      @rexex345 Před rokem

      @@mlm5150 oh yeah, I know the background to the song. It's essentially an ensamble/chior piece, which also happens to make it a perfect concert song.

    This version of this song has 1000 18 year olds as the crowd ( Takahiro the vocalist wrote it for 18yr olds) and they sing with the band.
