Thank you for all your lovely comments. I am very surprised to see so many views/listens so quickly and really appreciate all your kind words. Thank you for sharing your stories, I hope the piece brought a little comfort to you x
Thank you. with all my heart. 💔❤️🩹
Nice. As more of us go through this with our parents, it is nice to remember to be kind❤
The Dalai Lama says, "Be kind whenever possible. It's always possible. "
So touching. The emotions of all the memories, the saying goodbye to a life and the people who used to be in it, taking the time to embrace it while movers are coming, just beautifully done. 😢❤ thank you. A gem.
This one hit home - we've just put our home on the market as the time to downsize has arrived. I'm savouring each moment remaining in our home - time to move on to new adventures.
In tears. I miss my husband and my daughter. It's just my son and me now. ❤❤️🩹💔
I can only imagine. I’ve been apart from my family for around forty years, so my feelings are definitely different. I hope that you and your son have a wonderful relationship.
@@jeremypearson6852 thank you so much. My husband RB died suddenly in March 2012 and my daughter Rina in April 2022. It's been rough times for my son Christian and me, but we are reestablishing the closeness we had before 2012 came and all the rest. I'm sorry you've been apart from your family for so long. I hope and pray your broken heart is on the journey to better days. It's all going to work out the way it's meant to. God bless you and thank you again.
So sorry for your pain I know it must be the hardest pain ever .I can't imagine how you feel .😘❤💙🙏
Nice short piece, well done. I look forward to hearing more 😀
This is positively lovely and moving. I completly understand the need for a cupboard/closet. You can cry, be alone and talk with your dead loved ones. This brings back memories - supporting Mom thru her fight with brain cancer 😢, my getting married and moving away from EVERYTHING, my husband having emergency surgury and needing 12+ years to completely return to normal life and adjusting to my own chronic illnesses. 😢
You have a gift. Please share more of your talent. ❤❤❤❤
I loved this story. Now I want to live in a cupboard. I get it.
Thank you for thia lovely program
Well done Sophie. Keep writing. I love plays. I've written one for radio about same length as your. Not performed yet though. Also some very short sketches.
Your says so much in a very few minutes. Thanks
Absolutely beautiful....especially. to an old absent minded, all alone very active bobblehead .. bittersweet
Your story absuloutly knocks the nail on the head, showing how or ways, some people cope. When Martin gets in the closet and says "Quite big in here........" Perfect! Thank you.
What a beautiful and poignant play. And a happy ending with the redemption of Martin. A kind soul beating in a rather brash exterior.
Fantastic! Beautifully written Sophie.Great to be able to listen to it again.
Thank you Richard!!
Lovely story!
This was a beautiful piece. Extremely sensitive and very moving. I felt like I was with them all tucked into the cupboard
What a lovely story
What a lovely story, thank you
A beautiful story. Thank you so much.
Cried through the entire thing. Very moving.
Very nice and I understand
Short but very sweet.
This is incredibly poignant and I’m sure moving for many people. Growing old does come with its own challenges and the loss of a spouse is significant. An expat in Florida.
Really lovely
That was just beautiful
That was very sweet; Thank-You!
I loved that. Bittersweet and real especially to those of us who have been in similar situations. 💔
Nicely done.🤗
Absolutely brilliant, not an Oscar winner but it made a lot of sense 👍👍
Thank you Diane, not surprised I didn't get the call. Maybe next time, eh?! x
Beautiful, thank you.
I need some help here if anyone can please. About 4 years ago I listened to a radio play about a man who went missing through a hole in the wall, I think it was his shop. His wife hires people to go in there to find him.
Does anyone recognise this?
No, did you find out what film it was?
@sandyhall237 no. Its driving me mad. Was such a good story
😊
