Akuffo Addo would be remembered when he's gone as the best president ever, surfaced on Ghana. Now the opposition would not recognize. My remotest town has even seen asphalt

This is sad but cannot be compared to the sacrifices people made when the Volta lake was bn made so we can have electricity. More People lost a lot more. For a nation to thrive, sacrifices need to be made. Europeans , Asians and Americans did it and its benefitted them. Only Africans will make a big fuss about sth like this knowing very well its not even the Government’s fault.

We are just doing fine when it comes to English because there is no African that speaks just one language. Besides our mother tongues we speak other African dialects too and even some western languages

Nice road plan, only 20 years too late!!! And it will only be k if all tro tros and other scrap cars will be banned from using this road. Otherwise you will face the same catastrophic situation like on the Tema motorway!!!! About the houses: everybody tries to build as close to the road as possible to have quick access. If the government don't put a "no build" belt along the roads why are they complaining???

Why should the government compensate anyone for their own negligence and disobedience of the law...all affected knew or should have known that you cannot build closer than 25 meters to edge of existing major road. This road construction only expanded 10 to 15 meter either left or right of the existing roadway.

I just don’t understand why this Kumasi Accra road can’t get done. It has been over 40 years since we started hearing about the reconstruction of this road. Is there any mysterious devil preventing this road from getting done or what? It was first during the Rawlings administration that we started hearing about this road, and then came Kuffour who went further by doing the Accra to Nsawam portion and then came Mahama and now Akufu Addo. Is there any “Moa tia” there that doesn’t want this road done? I think governments should stop building any new roads and concentrate all their efforts on this project because it’s important and long overdue.

It's not. Many of these buildings are new, and they knew about the road before building. The presenter said the system is not working(new favorite Ghanaian phrase), so this is what we're going to see when the system starts working.

What are our zoning laws? Who allows people to build where? These are the questions we should be asking. If you dig deep some money was in exchange for these building projects to go on. Ghana I love it in spite of our challenges but we have a long way to go. I don't know when we going to get there, hope the younger generation will pick it up from where the old corrupt politicians left off. Good luck youthful Ghanaians build a better Ghana for your children and children.
Can anybody explain to me why this road can never be done since Rawlings's administration till now?

If you decide to build, no one has to educate you on where to build and where not. You have to educate yourself because it's easy to find such information, but as usual, some Ghanaians don't care. They think they can get away with everything. Next time!
