I did this method at the beginning of June. I’m growing my hair out from a really short cut and wanted summer braids so bad lol but the slippage was real. This method got me through the summer. Lol. I used outre kinky 4c hair I believe.

Okay I finished my hair and it's super cute and pretty easy but very time consuming. It took me from about 11-615 to do it with small snacking in between.

First I absolutely love your videos! I’ve been following you since around January of this year and I became confident enough to crochet my own hair. 🙂 The one thing that I always slacked on was washing the hair before installation. 😏 Yeah I know. But, this time I’m doing it correct. I’ve been soaking my hair in conditioner since yesterday. My question to you is - after the soak, do you rinse the hair in plain water to remove any of the conditioner?

Hey!!! I don't rinse my hair before installing. I've never had a real issue with synthetic hair so I don't bother with that step.

Hi, I thought I saw a video with you washing/Continung the hair. I just did a install and I soaked it first. I don’t know if I’ll do it again. 🤷🏽♀️ I don’t know if it was the brand or not but it was just so dry after. It’s all been a great learning experience. Personally, so far Freestress is the best, so far. Thank you for your response.

I just twisted all they way down. No hot water. They didn't come undone either. However, you can dip with hot water for added security!

Thank you for posting this! I’ve been learning from your tutorials and even tried the rubber band method chunky twists. I love the idea of getting this look without the tension. Will definitely try it. How long do you typically wear this style and how do you keep your hair moisturized?
Spray bottle mix with water & conditioner works well. I oil my scalp as well as seal with jamaican black castor oil. I prefer a heavier oil with styles like this.

the rejuv- drops. I also use JBCO on my edges and scalp. It's a slow process but they're growing!
