In my opinion, the engine does not stop. It's nothing but play in the gearbox. To check this, just remove the cover from the transmission and you will find that the motor rotates all the time.
I also thought so that there may be slops in the gears. It's just hard to confirm with my TRX4 because the pinion is not visible from the outside. Overall it's a a great motor. It's the same as their original version of Fusion.

What a great budget option from hobbywing. I'll probably pick one of these up for my TRX4. Currently running a Castle Sidewinder 4 with a Team Brood Riot 1460kv outrunner.
For this price rage I think this is the best performance and value for money. I mean you already have brushless sensored system including ESC with FOC for around $70.

It's got tons of torque and it's cheaper that a Holmes Hobbies revolver for sure but the quality is in question....I've had to reglue a couple of the magnets because they became loose and would work their way out of the can causing a rubbing issue. Not a super big deal but also not really what you would want to have happen. I honestly would probably go with a Holmes revolver or try a different brand out runner over the team brood but maybe the motor I got was just that one that got by quality control when no one was looking🤷

Yes, if you want more punch go for higher KV but with the Fusion Pro despite of having higher KV it also has a better low speed control.
Just put one of these in my 8.5 lb Capra. No overheating. Works great for a budget motor/ESC!

Yip, motor will be running continually, its just running through then drive train slop.
The stop is play in the drive line
It stops for a moment because it's taking up the play in the transmission due to it dropping over the obstacle.
Do you need to program with a card or can you just use throttle to drive
You can use it out of the box, but if you want to change parameters you will need a program card.
