How do you go from FCS champs to 0-8 in a few years though…I don’t care if it’s because they moved up to the FBS, because James Madison was good in the FCS and they’re doing just fine now in the FBS.
I agree with OrganicOrange they've just been super unlucky, only one loss being more than a two score loss. Two losses also being overtime losses. They almost pulled off upsets over Air Force and BYU and were the team that had the closest game so far with undefeated Liberty so even though Sam Houston is a bad team they're definitely better than their record.
Kennesaw State is having a historically bad season this year... their last win was against a new football team that isn't even a member of an association (i.e. NCAA, NAIA, etc.)
Remember man, this is your first FBS season. You guys couldn’t go bowling even if you went 12-0. The teams gotta feel out the new level of play and figure stuff out. The wins will come just give it a little bit of time

Sam has four losses of 7 points or less and seven losses of 14 points or less. Other than the beat down at UH the biggest issues have been RB health, the QB's decision making, and not putting together complete games. I didn't expect them to set the world on fire this season, but I wasn't expecting a dumpster fire either.
I read that this was the first time in 15 or 20 years, where a team had three consecutive games come down to the final play of the game deciding the game. If I recall, the last time it happened was in 2005.
Sam Houston finally did it folks. They have won a fucking football game. It serves poetic justice that they came back from a 14 point deficit , something they couldn't do all season.
