Other Notes: This was unexpected. After the Hickory STH, the Hickory FD offered to call up the McDonald FD to set off their GE motor STH-10 for us. We couldn’t say no to that so we all went to McDonald right after Hickory. When we all finished setting up, low and behold this GE motor STH-10 roars to life. This was my first GE motor STH except for SirenCon and man did it punch. I could actually feel it’s vibrations a little bit. It was pretty damn loud as well. We had a great day.

That is one hell of a siren right there. I love when these have GE motors because it really gives them that punch that makes them sound really healthy. All the STH-10s I’ve recorded either had factory newer motors if they were 70s and later or the valley motor if they were 60s and earlier. Too bad I couldn’t have been there for this.
