Why I stopped highlighting notes (and what I do instead)

  • Recently I stopped highlighting when making new notes. It was a radical change for me but it's made my notes more effective and helped me understand topics far better. It's all based on a simple principle called the RRR method. In this video I explain what the method is, why it's beneficial, how it fits with note taking and the downsides as well.
    In a future video I'll share how I use this system with Obsidian.

    This approach is similar to the Feynman method. Good video

      You know I don’t know which came first but certainly there’s a lot of overlap.
