People always, ALWAYS forgets that 'Hulk gets STRONGER the ANGRIER he gets.' Which is a problem as the Comic Writers never let it take effect. The Hulk, is basically unbeatable. He literally has Infinite Strength, Infinite Mass, and Infinite Stamina. He would outlast Thor, beat him and even his Hammer in Pure brute strength, and effectively end worlds just by walking, let alone running, jumping, and throwing a punch.
There is literally a story about "World Breaker Hulk" where the heroes on earth finally have enough about Hulk and throw them into a Blackhole with a Nuke powered rocket. Hulk lands on a planet, kills the rulers, becomes king, and then the Nuke goes out and kills his wife and child. The Hulk becomes so mad, he come back to earth, beats down EVERYONE, even a 'Superman Clone' that only exists as a Deus Ex Mechina to solve any corners the writers write themselves into, and one of his feats during that comic, is that he took a step, and on the otherside of the planet his step literally cause shockwaves that destroyed a city and cracked the planet. Just from a STEP.
Thor is only ever seen as a so called 'God', because the Writers just say he is. But you all need to remember, he is NOT actually a 'God'. He isn't actually an Immortal Deity with infinite power and infinite strength. Thor is still, at the end of the day, MORTAL and all of his 'Magic' and such, are just advance Technology, and not actually Magic. It's super advance tech, not god powers from a higher plane of existence.
Realistically, Hulk would win 100% of the time, every time, no matter what. Cause the more he lost, and the more he didn't win, the Angrier he would get, thus the stronger he would get, till he finally won.
And in terms of Top Tier, best of the best Heros... Yes, Thor is only a B Team Superhero compared to the much more stronger and more powerful beings out there.

He has been called the personification of strength and the storms. Donald Blake said that he could feel the power of the universe flowing through him when he’d change places with Thor. Thor has even beaten mangog and thanos back to back. And thanos and mangog have both given Odin a challenge. And Odins fight have affected the multiverse on several occasions. Even while the thing and hulk were possessed by gods and fueled by their power, Thor still managed to kill thing and one shot the hulk into space. Destroying a planet is very different compared to destroying an entire galaxy, universe, or multiverse. Thor is infinitely more powerful than hulk. If anything the hulk only stands a chance because Thor holds back on those he considers friends.
@@jam5287 It's funny, cause most of those things you mentioned are usually plotholes, retconds, alternate thors, and not actually tied to the character himself most of the time. The only real time 'Thor', becomes anything close to a 'God', is when Odin Dies, and Thor gets the 'Odin Force', renamed the 'Thor Force', and even that power isn't God like.
You see, I am not sure you know this, but Marvel actually as Cosmic Beings, and a thing known as the 'Power of Cosmic'. Cosmic, a power from The One Above All himself, created just for the Universe's Cosmic Gods, and only a Cosmic God has access to it.
To Master Order and Lord Chaos, Mistress Death, Infinity and Eternity. All these 'Concepts' made real. Those are the actual 'Gods'.
Thor tho, on the Cosmic Scale, is Mortal. Unless he gets the Odin Force... Then he moves up 1 Blip above Mortal.

The problem tho is with the Writers ultimately, cause they get free reign to write... well anything they wanted. They could literally write a comic where Thor walks down a street, then some random thug comes up, punches him in the face, a normal, human, not augmented in any way mortal thus, and knocks Thor out who falls back, hits his head, and bleeds out and died.
^ They LITERALLY can Write that, and it would be CANON that it happened. There is no one forcing continuity, no one forcing consistency, or checking older comics.
Heck, I remember reading about one era of a character's main comic is so absolutely bad was because they gave the character to a new writer, who has never read anything about that character, never did any research, and just wrote them based on what little they were told.
It's literally even part of DC motto, if I remember, to give important characters to new inexperienced writers, which is why Marvel AND DC have both been going to shit for the last 30 or so years.
As much as I love Hulk and keep in mind he is my favourite Marvel character of all time.
Thor will always edge him out due to being a better fighter, mystical abilities and intellect.

Being very "angry" isn't a good explanation for beating someone who has a billion powers and is just as strong as you, but faster, with a far superior intellect and thousands of years of fighting experience. Some versions of Thor don't 'NEED' Mjolnir, cause the hammer helps Thor channel his energy more efficiently. As Odin states in Ragnarok, which ironically reigns true for most versions of Thor ~ 'Your hammer was meant to help you channel your power, and control it better. It was never your source of strength.'

Azure Heart I think that is a dumb retcon. It would have been better if Odin sealed the storm within Thor ala Naruto and Kurama.
Gregory Lim I actually don’t mind the retcon, but I’m slightly upset that it’s seen as his main source of power. I wouldn’t have mind it if it was like in the movie, but the cosmic storm was still in Mjolnir. So that way Thor would be unknowingly be using only a fraction of his true potential. Already being one of the mightiest Gods, but also having a hammer as strong as his father. I bet not even World Breaker Hulk would want that fight.
Azure Heart I think a piece of that storm should go to Mjolnir just so it could also explain why other wielders can access the Thunder God’s power but him having the majority of the storm brings so many possibilities in terms of storytelling. Thor Ragnarok touched upon that. He is the God of Thunder, not the God of Hammers.
'Ultimates' is an alternate universe -- hence, non-canon material that doesn't count.
In terms of raw power, the two were pretty close, and when Thor depends on it alone he struggles, but Thor has a bevy of other more powerful abilities. The problem with all Hulk vs match-ups is that the Hulk as a character is designed with varied strength. So, at one point in time, Hulk could be overpowered by someone only to later overpower them. Hulk's power has also been increasing at a more rapid rate than Thor, when Thor has a problem it is normally solved with a new dangerous ability while Hulk gains new dangerous levels of power. Neither have really fought at their strongest point, Odinforce Thor and a couple key points to pick from with Hulk including a time when he punched so hard he warped reality to kill Onslaught

He is never potrayed to be at full strength, especially in animation and movies.

They're pretty much equal in strength, but strength isn't the only thing that's needed in fights. He even explained Thor's advantages in the video.

Well.....if he was as strong as he was in the source material......there wouldn’t be a need for any other hero expect him.....mcu villains are not as strong as the comic counterparts as to make them seem weaker and more vulnerable yata yata yata. Imagine if rune king thor, or even old king thor, was what they used in the movies. Shits all over ANY other character, heroes and villains alike. and also, they kinda HAVE to lower his strength as to not piss people off for him being stronger then their favorite. They make it seem like everyone in the mcu can kill any other character. Iron man with hulk buster can beat hulk, or vise versa. Thor can beat hulk, or vise versa. Even saying that just a “strong man” and (captain america) can beat thanos’ commanders. which by the way, in the comics, would never fucking happen. They would obliterate him within the first punch. It’s all about making everyone seem just as capable as everyone else, WHILE ALSO letting people have their big “in super strong” moments. i.e= Thor being the one to deliver the killing blow. Thanos being able to take town hulk. Iron man being able to stand his own against thanos when he’s literally just a dude in a suit. captain america....yeah just anything captain america. They have to make it perfectly balanced, as all things should be :)

Because in reality comics powers these days are kinda ridiculous and would silly on film. Part of the Problem with DCU films like Man Of Steel is the action and fights are incredibly boring because it's just computer graphics moving around a screen. The more realistic portrayal of Thor and Hulk makes it feel more real and feel like real super powered people fighting.

1. Thor holds back when he's on Midgard. A lot! While he usually struggles with powerful enemies when he is on earth with the Avengers, as soon as he is alone on solo missions in space, he often faces cosmic entities, their battles leaving entire planets or at least their surfaces destroyed. And no, not talking about Odin Force Thor. This is just plain old regular Thor. Hell, one time, together with Beta Ray Bill, he destroyed a portal created by Surtur, that completely dwarfed several stars in one strike. So even planet busters aren't quite in Thor's ballpark.
2. The Hulk may be physically stronger than Thor if angry enough, but that doesn't change the fact that Thor is overall far more powerful. That's why most of their fights turn quite one-sided as soon as Thor decides to stop brawling.
3. Thor has never used his most powerful abilities against the Hulk. The God Blast, which killed Durok (a guy more powerful than the Silver Surfer) and send a starving Galactus running, or the anti-force, which grilled Mangog, a being who shrugged of hits from Mjolnir like nothing (something the Hulk has never done). Hell, even Thor's regular lightning is powerful enough to hurt Galactus and something that hurts Galactus, no matter how hungry, means a lot of trouble for Hulk.
4. If Thor really grew tired of fighting Hulk he could always just BFR him with a portal, sending him into a star, a black hole or just empty space. Wouldn't kill him, but would definitely incapacitate him.
Thank you, Ive been waiting a long time for someone to do a rundown of their canon fights like this. Tired of people saying Hulk always beats him in comics when its obvioulsy not the case.
Its a shame that in mainstream material, in animated movies espicially, Marvel treats Thor like Hulk's punching bag, when he clearly isnt in their own comics :/

But in movies and most animations, Thor is always the underdog and second fiddle to Hulk, when they've had a long standing rivalry (with Thor even having the advantage in comics, as shown in this video); which is what bother me. If they were portrayed as equal rivals, Id have no problem with it...

Honestly yeah, I think hulk is stronger, but Thor wins not because of strength, but because he’s able to retain his intellect. If hulk was intelligent it ironically makes hulk weaker if he’s smart. TL;DR Thor wins because of intelligence, swiftness and faster due to him being smaller then hulk, and his hammer seems to give him an edge as well. It’s a similar thing with Superman vs hulk ironically, Superman was probably wouldn’t beat hulk in terms of pure straangth, but he would win due to intelligence and swiftness/being faster because he’s smaller then the hulk.
Thor is always Thor so he is tougher but Banner is only Hulk sometimes

I mean Hulk vs Thor is, Hulk is essentailly a gamma powered result of person having what equates to a Dissociative Personality Disorder, while Thor is a God and a fighter as well, it's honestly impressive for Hulk to ever be able to win against Thor to be perfectly honest.

No surprise there... I love both characters, but come on... Take away Mjolnir, and you STILL have a battle-hardened super being with THOUSANDS OF YEARS of experience fighting gods and god-like beings. Thor takes this hands down. I can't say I agree with the whole "gets his powers from his magical hammer" concept... but then again, neither do the Germanic myths. But hey, why let source material get in the way of great comic book writing?

Some versions of Thor don't 'NEED' Mjolnir, cause the hammer helps Thor channel his energy more efficiently. As Odin states in Ragnarok, which ironically reigns true for most versions of Thor ~ 'Your hammer was meant to help you channel your power, and control it better. It was never your source of strength.'

Take away Mjolnir and Thor definitely still could win - Along with everything you've stated - remember Thor's abilities don't 'come' from Mjolnir. He just uses it an extention of his power - an absurdly OP weapon that always helped him channel his energy more efficiently as Odin states in Ragnarok, which ironically reigns true for most versions of Thor ~ 'Your hammer was meant to help you channel your power, and control it better. It was never your source of strength.' - So all of those abilities are Thor's abilities, not Mjolnir. It's similar to Silver Surfer with his board. Some of these in cannon fights sound pretty lazy.
The problem with comics is that because there isn’t an overarching story each fight basically has to end where it started, with them being buddies. You can’t make a fight more interesting by changing the outcome but that type of thing is semi permanent.
yeah comics can’t change things, that’s why most of the time it ends up being “oooh it was all a dream” or “they were planning it” and shit like that

1st correction - Modern day Thor has been shown to fly withOUT Mjolnir. He's also been able to control and cast lightning WITHOUT Mjolnir. Case & point when he was captured by the angels and away from Mjolnir and summoned a massive bolt of lightning that completely destroyed his holding cell and those around.
You also forget A LOT of tools/powers/options that Thor has. Such as the ability to drain ALL of Hulk's gamma radiation from his body (like when Silver Surfer did). Hulk would then revert back to Banner and die with a single hit from Thor. Thor also has the Godblast, which was shown to KILL a Celestial, who far beyond Hulk's level.
Thor also has been shown to move faster than lightspeed, which the Hulk cannot keep up with. Thor can trap Hulk in an alternate dimension via Mjolnir. Thor's strength is extreme. Such as when he lifted the Midgard serpent, a creature twice as long as the earth and which weighed as much as planet earth! Thor also has the warrior's madness, which gives Thor 10X growth in strength and stamina, which would give Thor (who's already basically as strong as Hulk) a decisive advantage. Hulk strength takes time to build along with his rage, Thor's does not.
Hulks skin is NOT impenetrable. Wolverine has been able to make Hulk bleed. In the Ultimate Universe, a weaker version of Thor was able to break Hulk's jaw and ribs with his bare hands! Thor once lost control and nearly broke Hulk's neck in one blow!
If Hulk is beaten bad and fast enough his healing factor can be overcome and essentially shut down, such as when Zeus physically beat Hulk nearly into a coma.
Thor has the strength to knock Hulk into orbit, where the Hulk would almost be helpless as he cannot fly. Thor can and has survived on the surface and even in the core of the sun, as high level Asgardians like Thor are shown to be completely immune to extreme temperatures. I doubt Hulk could last very long in those conditions.
What if Thor dropped his hammer on Hulk, who has been shown to NOT be able to lift Mjolnir. Even with great effort. He'd be trapped under Mjolnir, just like others have been.
Plz cite when Hulk was able to fight or survive without needing to breath? Hulk is not a god or cosmic being and therefore does not have self sustenance. Therefore he would need to breath to fuel is his muscles and biology. Thor has also been able to destroy planets with and without his hammer.
Thor has also been shown to swing Mjolnir at twice the speed of light (being hit with that kind of force would def equal a KO) and has also been able to move post light speed in battle. Hulk cannot move anywhere near lightspeed and ONLY has strength and durability over Thor (barely). Thor has MANY tools to use against Hulk. Hulk may ultimately be stronger than Thor (after some time fighting) but Thor is more powerful, more EXP and just has too many ways to defeat Hulk. As far as stamina, Thor has been shown to fight an army of frost giants for 9 months straight, with no rest, food or water. So Thor getting tired before Hulk does is negligible as I'm sure their fight wouldn't last more than a day.
Thor has 1000s of years of battle EXP over Hulk.
Thor has been shown to have energy & matter manipulation powers on par with Silver Surfer! Hulk still needs gamma energy to fuel his power...of which Thor can control or just take from him...Fight OVER.
Those are just a few ways Thor would be able to beat Hulk.
I appreciate your time & energy into this video but Plz let's do some more research before making such statements/conclusions.

If you read What If? Vol.1 #45... Marvel tells you that if Hulk went Berserk, Thor would intercede and in the end, with sorrow and a heavy heart, Thor would kill the Hulk (Banner). Thor always holds back when he is fighting against Hulk because he doesn't want to hurt the man inside of the savage beast, but if left with no choice he would end Hulk/Banner without hesitation. We are talking about a Viking god who will not back down from a fight. Thor has gone toe to toe with his own father (and of course he lost), but still think about that! He has fought Silver Surfer, Thanos, Beta Ray Bill, Sentry and Mangog! C'mon! Thor is mighty!
