- It's time for a Brimwood Farm Chicken Tour!
With winter here, not there's not a lot in the way of vegetables or flowers growing at my little Brimwood Farm smallholding. That means it's time for a Chicken Tour!
With avian flu here in the UK, poultry are in lockdown across the country. DEFRA has asked for chickens, geese, quails etc to be kept inside where possible and have their food/drink protected from contamination by wild birds. Luckily I'd converted the shed last year for the main layer flock, but I still have hens crammed in all over the places.
In this video i'll show you my Ixworth, Barbu d'Anvers, Cortunix Quails, Silkies and laying flock. It's a little tour around my backyard flock! :D

Thanks for stopping by the Brimwood Farm channel. We're a teeny urban smallholding trying to grow, garden and keep livestock on a tiny residential garden. Can you be self-sufficient and make money from an urban homestead? We're on a mission to find out.

I need to do a new chicken tour in spring I think!
Loved the chicken tour, lovely to see happy healthy chickens that are well loved! Thanks for sharing 😊 🖒
Happy to share...not much else at this time of year!
All the birds look very happy. LOL Barry doesn't cover his tracks, he leaves all the evidence on the hen's back hahaha :)
He sure does!
Very good content and nice to see thank for share+
I want chickens. No land. But I had a good long think. Within a 30 minute walk there is an inner city farm. I can volunteer there. They have ducks also. So I can try and learn that way. Thanks for the video, always I learn from each one.
+Stephen Williams GREAT idea! You can build experience up and get involved.
Really nice set up!
Thanks Rachel! It'll be nice when they can free range a little more. Roll on March!

Do you sell barver danver hatching eggs on ebay, Facebook etc. Also where do you live , you not have to tell me :)
Hi Steve, I do sell hatching eggs on eBay - and have some d'Anvers up at the moment. Just used the advanced search for seller - giggly_londoner
I have chickens and one of them is getting henpecked and she has scabs all over her what do I do?
Separate her so she is not getting beat on. Give her water with electrolytes.
