This is a beast bike...love it. Ktm 390 duke.....awesome.....if i buy a bike i should buy this 😲😲😲😲😲😲😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
So in two and half years and 22000kms of owning the KTM RC390 I have replaced:-
Radiator fan: 5 times
Coolant: 5 times
Stator assembly: 1 time
Roll on sensor: 1 time
Air filter box: 2 times
Rear wheel speed sensor: 1 time
Fuel pump: 1 time
HT coil: 1 time
Head Gasket: 2 times
Now again my fan has failed and now the bike is burning oil idk how.
All this inspite of getting the bike serviced on time from authorised service centre.
So please think twice before you buy a KTM product! 😂😂

So in contrast in 3 years and 25k kms of owning a D200. i've only replaced the stator assembly and one of the front shocks apart from the usual maintenance.... Still don't have major issues yet and I ride it like I stole it so maybe tera kismat kharab tha dude.

I think it's because of abuse during break in period.

The 2017 Ktm Duke 390 desperately needs a better console with turn by turn navigation as a part of it...125cc scooter from Tvs has it... And the app needs to be relooked at.. It's currently useless.. And is very buggy... Drains all your phone battery.. And has no useful functions at all.
Can you please pass this word with higher authorities in Ktm India.... Thousands of customers are complaining about the app and the console each day.... Its not doing justice to the bike and it's potential customers and existing ones.... It's a humble request to follow up on this urgently.
Immediate response is expected as i am ready to take up this issue on a multilevel platform over media and news as well.
A lot of us have been patient for months now about the app upgradation and console upgradation but there is nothing fruitful yet that has earned our trust.

Arun Krishnan of course Duke 390 never a dominar I own 7 bikes a dominar 400, bullet standard 500 , aduke 390 a rc 390 , a pulsar rs 200 , a Kawasaki ninja and a bullet 350 the first and best tourer is bullet second Duke 390 third dominar 400 and other all are for sports
dominar is too heavy . duke is good for long rides

can one use it for touring??
Absolutely yes. I recently did a 300km one-way trip on the Duke 390. I found it comfortable, no shoulder or back pain whatsoever post the journey. The bike can cruise at 100-120 kmph without any fuss. I know people say its not a touring bike, but only once you ride it, you realize it can be used as one.

If u r in ur early 20's then you can go for it but trust me not more than 120km(60-70min) at a stretch. It's a weekend bike you can't use it for touring. It's more like a fun riding bike. You better go for those Honda's with liq cooled engines.

Nithin Mohan hahaha nice question... Make sure sales service is good. Had to sell my 220 because of bad service, had to sell my over priced ninja 250cc 2012 model because of bad service and now about to sell my Mahindra mojo because of the same reason. Now am not sure which bike to take
