The tree bit reminds of my 30 high school reunion. A bunch of us who knew each other since Kidergarden went to a 150 year old Live Oak Tree that we played in as kids and hugged it and took photos. It was so emotional for us.

Lovely scene! It's *great* seeing the crew visit the tree that they studied under when at the Academy nine *hundred* and thirty years ago.
A time of joy during years of sometime nightmarish anguish. Something that this show doesn't have nearly enough of.
Hopefully, in the future, the Burnhams and Mr. Book will travel to Earth to help Michael re-connect with her human roots.

They went out and thanked them the next day (I have a video, want the link?). Those riots last weeks, did billions in damage and killed 30 people. BLM, an organization whose supporters assassinated 12 police officers, talked on the DNC stage. Give me a BREAK with this idea that it was Trump who supported violence.
Hate crimes spiking? What's your evidence? Let me guess, the ACLU anonymous tip hotline report. Go check the parameters of what counts as a "hate crime" before you cite that statistic (Or provide where you're getting your bullshit from and I'll debunk it).
His supporters are angry with the last election. I'll let Time magazine explain why. time.com/5936036/secret-2020-election-campaign/ His reporters rightly called the election fraudulent because a cabal of wealthy men changed the laws and rules just before the election and controlled the flow of information to be negative about Trump (In Time's words, not mine).
If you don't think that makes the election illegitimate, that a bunch of international corporations censored and controlled American discourse..And you think Trump's supporters are wrong for calling it illegitimate, then surely you spent the last 4 years calling out Democrats for calling Trump illegitimate because they claimed Russia stole the election.
Give me a break. Your projection is astounding. I'll take you to town with citations on any of these issues. You've been brain washed by the corporate media because they need you to support their forever wars and selling off industry to cheaper labor. You can't even recognize what a decent leader is anymore through the propaganda.

    • @ers586
      @ers586 Před 3 lety +3

@@robertb7230 Let me address your comments as best I can.
First, the Black Lives Matter issue. The protests following the killing of George Floyd appear to have occurred in more cities, in more states, and involved more people than any other cause in modern US history. On June 6 alone, some half million people participated in nearly 500 places across the United States. www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/07/03/us/george-floyd-protests-crowd-size.html
The participants included people of all races and their ages ranged from young to old. Many reported that this was the first time in their lives that they ever participated in such a protest. Any movement such huge numbers will involve people who shouldn't have been there.
Now the thing to keep in mind is that these were not organized by some central planning committee. Many occurred quite spontaneously or through the efforts of local activists who were not connected with any international organization. Herein was the problem.

Many of major anti-war demonstrations during the Vietnam era were carefully organized and choreographed. Individuals with military training were often assigned to keep on eye on more unruly participants to prevent vandalism, looting, etc. It was also believed that these marches had been infiltrated by undercover FBI agents to incite violence and discredit the movement.
Here, no such organization existed. And it led to problems.
First, there were people who had no particular political agenda. They were opportunistic criminals who took advantage of the chaos to loot. This is reminiscent of the chaos and looting that occurred in New York City during a sudden and unanticipated power failure. Clearly they were not motivated by anything except self gain. And that was the case with these demonstrations.
Then there were individuals who supported the movement and became violent lawbreakers. They were roundly condemned by the top leadership in the National Democratic Party.
      www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-biden-condemned-antifa-idUSKBN2712ZA
      www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-harris-idUSKBN25N344
      www.mediaite.com/news/pelosi-condemns-looting-starting-fires-but-calls-peaceful-protests-the-essence-of-democracy/
      www.reuters.com/article/us-minneapolis-police-obama-idUSKBN2383IC
There were many reasons for these Democratic leaders to oppose the violence. It was wrong. It was self-defeating to the movement. It would cause harm to innocent people. But even if you think the absolute worst of these people, you know they are not stupid. Footage of rioting and looting would push undecided voters to support Trump. And it would damage the political careers of those big city Democratic mayors.
So for a variety of reasons including self-interest, folks like Biden, Harris, Pelosi, and Obama clearly and loudly rejected violence coming out from these demonstrations.
Was the 2020 election fraudulent? If so, why did Trump's own Attorney General, his own FBI Director, and his own Cyber Security expert describe the race as fair and honest. The Governors of Arizona and Georgia, both solid Republicans and Trump allies, similarly defended the results in their states. Mitch McConnell said that Biden won fairly. Even Fox News reported days ahead of CNN or MSNBC that Biden had won in Arizona.
Please don't tell me that Fox is run by liberals. Trump's law suits were thrown out of court after court, including the courts of judges he appointed. The Supreme Court refused to consider his suit, even though six of the nine Justices were appointed by Republican Presidents and three of those were chosen by Trump.
So either there is a massive conspiracy involving some of the top officials in the Trump Administration, Republican Governors, and Fox News to help Joe Biden become President or Trump actually lost the election. Which do you think it is?
