  • One of my track time sessions at snetterton at the ford power live show in my mk7 fiesta turbo. I had a short ratio gearbox in the car so I am on the rev limiter in 5th on both of the straights 22/10/17

    This is so cool. I was thinking about turbocharging my mk7 as well. I can’t find anywhere that would do it for me, or even find parts to do it

      WhoIsMaxi thanks mate appreciate it. Yer that’s the issue, there aren’t any parts available for them, all of mine are 1 off custom made to fit

      I just found companies at the time but that was like 7 years ago and I can’t remember sorry, it cost far too much, especially coz I was the first to do it and push the boundaries of the engine, works out expensive after about 4 blow ups

      Brett Shepherd MK7 Fiesta Turbo haha I can imagine. I’m thinking about going to either pumaspeed or mountune to get the 20hp increase kit installed. Apparently they become quite nippy with those kits

    Nice car, would it not have been better to fit a 1.6 Fiesta ST engine and gear box in the car, you seem to be hitting the rev limiter on the straight?

      sparkplug964 no mate, I built this before ford made the st, it eats standard gearboxes so the box in it in this video was a very short ratio race box, I’ve now got a new race box with more sensible ratios for my power and engine rpm so it’s much better

    That's mega quick and good going fella well done. we were there in our Team Fiesta ST (blue with RS400 Maxton design kit). whats the weight and rest of the spec of the car if you don't mind me asking i.e tyres and size and suspension etc. impressed =)

      Peak Performance Reviews thanks mate yer I saw you out there a couple times, I was on nankang ar-1 tyres 205/40/17 with meister r coilovers, car is pretty much standard weight, I’ve removed the rear seats but with the added weight of the intercooler and box section tubing for the front splitter I’ve added on more than I’ve lost I think. I had a straight cut quaife gearbox in it for the day because it enjoys eating a standard box but the ratios were miles too short as you can see and hear I’m on the limiter in 5th half way down the back straight and at the pit exit on the main straight

      I had it made. I sold it to a friend recently but he may not require it any longer so he may be willing to sell it on. I only sold it as I’m going over to a 2.0 n/a engine now

    What year Fiesta is this? I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta Zetec S and cannot find out if anyone has turboed the engine or if it can even handle one

    Which engine is that? In Brazil we got a Fiesta 1.6 with an engine named of Sigma. I would love to turbo it, but I dont find nothing about tuning that engine, can you make a list of the specs and where you got forged rods and pistons?

      ApexThis, hi this is the sigma engine that I have turbo charged. I had the pistons and rods custom made, the spec list is very long. If you send me an email address I will send it over

      It’s a really difficult and costly process to get it done to run right and be reliable. It will cost in excess of £5k and generally now days is cheaper to do a conversion to an st engine

      How much and how easy would an st conversion be?
      I know it would cost a lot but I want more power, in the mean time I was thinking of putting the st180 mountune airbox as long as it fits and maybe a decat and bluefin would I see much gain from that?

      It won’t be an on the drive job. It’s a very involved conversion. Need to run the whole dash, clocks and wiring loom as well as the engine and gearbox. An air box, decat and remap should see around 140bhp

      J D because I had this built, turbo charged and running 280bhp before ford even made the st lol
