Thanks guys for watching!!! Don't forget to give me your best ford joke! And tell me if you've ever seen fuel this dirty before?
Do you have a parts list ? Looking to order for my 69
I never realized that the trunk of a mustang is the actual fuel tank. Pretty informative video, well done.
It's a pretty cool design.
I just bought my first classic car and previously knew nothing really about working on cars from any era. I've watched a bunch of videos to help me get my 1966 Mustang coupe running as well as possible. Your video was one of the more informative of any I've watched. I'll be replacing my gas tank soon and feel pretty certain I can do it myself. Nice work.
I'm watching these videos late. Lol. Good dudes, man
Another great video Budget Build Garage! That fuel looks like chocolate milk...so gross! Keep up the good work.
It didn't taste like chocolate milk.
Those silicone strips are legit...pretty funny watching you pull out the first one. Another great informative video!
Yeah I'm using those for everything from now on!
Hi Nick I dont mind saying its refreshing to watch a video created by a well spoken intelligent car enthusiast.
Like you I recently purchased a 69 Mustang Coupe Grande all original 42 K Candy Apple Red Black Hardtop and interior Im currently restoring and hope to keep it move it forward Thanks for such informative well produced perfectly detailed videos Best Regards
Thanks for watching and the kind words. I'm glad my video can help in some way. It sounds like you have a fun project and if you have Instagram you should tag me in a post so I can see it.
PUREPLAY2755 I just purchased a 1969 Mustang Grande as well. Did you finish your restoration? How’d it go?
FYI, that inline fuel filter is a cartridge type. Carefully use a pair of wrenches (flare/line, box-end, etc) and you can remove (replace if necessary) the filter mesh and clean it. Can't remember the manufacturer, but there's another similar one that uses the same paper filter cartridges used on the older Rochester carbs (where the fuel line enters the carb). They're great, because you can always see 1) if you're getting fuel and 2) whether there's water/contamination issues.
Great video. Good luck with your project 😁😎👍
Great video bud. I like your Chanel. Just to let you know for the future that fuel filter you have unscrews so you can take it apart for easy cleaning and replace the cartridge inside when it gets too clogged up. Other than that it was a very informative video. Thank and keep posting. I especially like the mustang videos since I used to have a 68 mustang and a 68 cougar. I plan on getting another one in the near future.
Outsatanding video, thanks! Can you tell me where you got the new fuel tank from?
Favorite year mustang
Brandon Mckee Mine too!
My father in law just purchased a 66, it is in really good shape and first thing we have to do is replace the sending unit and replace the seat rails because one stud is broken.
Was the replacement the 16 or 22 gallon tank? Looking for a video on the upgrade/conversion. Seeing on what would be best.
what kit did you buy i need to do this soon thanks for the vid
lets get to it
Do you happen to have a link for the gas tank kit you purchased?
I have the same car and just pulled the tank out. Perfect timing. Where did you buy the tank kit?
I am pretty sure I got that one from National Parts Depot.
What do you use to clean the fuel filter? It will be a big help for me cause I have the same fuel filter :)
You may have shared this, but I don't see it. Where did you get the kit? Can you provide a link to the exact site and item?
I got it at National Parts Depot. I dont have a link because I bought it in store. I'll see if I can find a link for it tomorrow.

That glass filter screws apart.
Were you aware of the fact that you could disassemble your fuel filter to clean it instead of blowing air or cleaner through it? The chrome ends have flats for your wrench and there are O rings that seal the glass to the end pieces.
So this car is the one piece Gold D. Roger was talking about?
bro come fix my bentley
bloody vampire I'm gonna say maybe.
What do you call a ford with dual exhaust? A wheelbarrow
What is the difference between a Ford and a porcupine? A: Porcupines have pricks on the outside
Ethan Russel fits more for Chevy owners
Why not go with a 22 gallon tank
Thanks for the tips but bro your Dog is chewing on fuel line 🤦🏻♂️
Those self etching primer cans are now $13/ can. Ridiculous. Good stuff on the video though.
You are holding the sender up side down. It should measure 10 ohms full and 73 ohms empty. Chevy senders are the opposite in that the highest reading is full lowest empty.
