Thanks guys for watching!!! Don't forget to give me your best ford joke! And tell me if you've ever seen fuel this dirty before?

I never realized that the trunk of a mustang is the actual fuel tank. Pretty informative video, well done.

I just bought my first classic car and previously knew nothing really about working on cars from any era. I've watched a bunch of videos to help me get my 1966 Mustang coupe running as well as possible. Your video was one of the more informative of any I've watched. I'll be replacing my gas tank soon and feel pretty certain I can do it myself. Nice work.

FYI, that inline fuel filter is a cartridge type. Carefully use a pair of wrenches (flare/line, box-end, etc) and you can remove (replace if necessary) the filter mesh and clean it. Can't remember the manufacturer, but there's another similar one that uses the same paper filter cartridges used on the older Rochester carbs (where the fuel line enters the carb). They're great, because you can always see 1) if you're getting fuel and 2) whether there's water/contamination issues.
Great video. Good luck with your project 😁😎👍

Great video bud. I like your Chanel. Just to let you know for the future that fuel filter you have unscrews so you can take it apart for easy cleaning and replace the cartridge inside when it gets too clogged up. Other than that it was a very informative video. Thank and keep posting. I especially like the mustang videos since I used to have a 68 mustang and a 68 cougar. I plan on getting another one in the near future.

My father in law just purchased a 66, it is in really good shape and first thing we have to do is replace the sending unit and replace the seat rails because one stud is broken.

Were you aware of the fact that you could disassemble your fuel filter to clean it instead of blowing air or cleaner through it? The chrome ends have flats for your wrench and there are O rings that seal the glass to the end pieces.

You are holding the sender up side down. It should measure 10 ohms full and 73 ohms empty. Chevy senders are the opposite in that the highest reading is full lowest empty.
