I'm a regular fan. As Simms said, I only know what I hear. I learn alot from Michael Lombardi, and now Simms as well. When I was watching Mahomes throw all those dropped passes I had to ask myself the same thing, "Is he throwing it funny?" I have to agree that it seems that Patrick always gets a few drops early in the game. And if he doesn't settle down, he starts to press and throw it even harder. I hope he figures it out.

Well said. Steelers fan since the 70s & became a fan of the whole NFL as the Steelers dynasty faded & feel fortunate to have watched the rise of the 49ers, the 85 Bears, Giants, Redskins, Cowboys, Packers & Elway finishing up his career with 2 rings. I thought I knew the game. But I knew what fans knew which isn’t anything compared to those who do it for a living just like those guys wouldn’t come into what we do for a living & know it like it was their profession.
Lombardi has taught me aspects of the game & made me appreciate it much more & with an open mind. Just like advanced math, we can all get the right answer if we have days to work on it. But the ppl who get “A’s” are the ones who crank it out like second nature from working at it until they know it cold. Same with football. Maybe if I have a couple of days I can pick one play per game that would fit a situation better. These coaches, coordinators & players are doing it in seconds for the entire game. It really makes me appreciate the masters. So it’s rare but when ppl knock Lombo, I tried to encourage them to leave their feelings out of it and listen to a man who can truly teach every fan to better appreciate NFL Football.
As for Mahomes early passes, we all remember how Brett Favre was told by Mike Holmgren “no more rocket balls please.” Favre “ I was chinged up.” 😂 apparently the first few passes of the game were schemed at angles so that a defensive back wouldn’t catch the 65 mph rocket ball from far bouncing off his receivers’ hands. 😂 Mahomes has a fast ball too.

Thank you for the Phil Simms interview. Always liked watching Simms play for Parcells & as an analyst. Never liked the the way the Giants handled his departure. The green shield graphics look good. Great show.

Did Al Davis have a truth teller? Bill Walsh? Was Ernie Adam’s Belichick’s truth teller?
