It's not a pity. I know I'd be a fairly large channel if I resorted to clickbait, advertising, and other selfish tactics, but I decided long ago that I would never compromise myself or my work because of greed, and I stand by that decision. That choice comes with the consequence of being small in the world, but you know, I'm okay with that. I know how to teach and entertain people, and that's my goal- not money, not fame, just enjoyment and knowledge. I'm achieving that goal, and you know what? It feels worthwhile. And in life, that's the most important feeling of all- In my opinion. :) Cheers.

Many people enjoy and keep good care of those who they appreciate the most. Some amounts of money for us could be a lot, for other people its pocket change and they enjoy what you do for them, providing a cool place to have some entertainment and someone who helps them out understanding their hobbies better.
This is a fantastic video - perfect in every way. This is exactly what I needed. I played FrostPunk like an addict when it first came out, but have not touched it since. I am getting back into it today, and realized I forgot everything about how to start. This answered ALL my questions and now I can go do day 1! I'm sure I will be back for more of your videos when I get later in the game!!
Hey man great stuff really learning a lot from watching you play. I was wondering do you still have to shrink your buildings or did the patch fix it so it’s always at the smallest build space? Sorry if it’s a dumb question I’ve been trying to play my own way the most part but you have a very interesting style I enjoy seeing

@@crystaldazz i might be able to teach you how to fix it and or improve the performance. i might suck at frost punk micro-management but, I'm one hell of a computer wiz. It is likely savable since it is working and even if the issue is more hardware limitation and forces you to upgrade i can easily get you going with a good build on a surprising budget.
Game was great but strangely easier than i expected. First game on normal i just didn't finish because i didn't like building setup (and i was just figuring out mechanics of the game) Second one was more planned, i didn't turn on generator until -30, began gathering coal only on day 3 i think. Didn't know about storm plot yet, wasn't prepared enough but most importantly didn't know how long storm will last. In the end none of my factories worked, everything is frozen, high discontent and they gave me 2 days to lower it. I ended the game (didn't finish) but i would actually win if i continued (explanation below). My third and fourth try was on survivor (i didn't really feel challange on normal, though technically i didn't win, i felt like i would easily win if i knew what was coming). Beginning was crucial there, my 5th run was a victory with 62 dead on survivor. I could end with 0 dead but the thing is since i didn't wait till the end in my 2nd normal run i thought that "storm" hits when it drops immediately 3 levels below so i didn't use overheat until that point, everybody was dyuing but i still expected for the worst while in reality that -3lvl lasts less than a day (or exactly 1 day, don't remember) and it is the end. If i knew it is not the beginning but very end i would turn on overheat long time ago and nobody would die. The real challenge was "on the edge" scenario with 0 death on survivor. Tried many times and the best result is 1 death from overwork (but that death was crucial to the surviving)
I see SO many builds starting the technology tree first, some guys build 2 workshops immediately. This is great, but I think at least 1 workshop should be built. 24 shift first day!!!
I've seen those too. But I've played this game long enough to know that proper building placement and early-eco-advantages outweigh the initial 10 hours of research you miss out on, as you can make that up easily, and then some, by focusing on the tasks that are important.
Only problem I see with your strategy is you're building tents too early. Close to end of first workday, your people will demand shelter. If you promise to shelter them and deliver, I think you get greater hope than if you start building tents immediately.
I don't turn the generator on, so if the tents aren't built by midnight, people die. That's a homeless mechanic. No generator + homeless = 20% of the population dies. That, and I keep discontent maxed with overtime later on to harvest hope rewards, so hope is never an issue. So no, it's not too early. It's planned, methodical, and calculated.
I WILL IMPROVE YOUR STRATEGY, just put a longer square the houses from the generator, that will allow you to put more houses near the generator, even if the generator only touches half of the houses it works the same MEJORARE TU ESTRATEGIA, solo pon un cuadrado mas largo las casas desde el generador, eso hara q puedas poner mas casas cerca del generador, aunque el generador solo toque la mitad d las casas funciona igual

I love this game, but holy shit it can be incredibly tedious. Should have just had a misc job/post for infrastructure etc.

Man this game even on easy mode if fuking hard lol. It is interesting that there is no right way. There are so many possibilities.
