Thank yoy for featuring my works again..
You forgot to mention how Opetoonz keeps crashing all the ffing time!
Yeah all the time
I saw that it was a problem a year ago… guess they didnt fix it
@@callmidell no it’s been a problem for me since 1.7 which updated this summer now a year ago. Now it’s on 1.7.1 and it still crashes for no reason. Try to use plastic tool and see yourself
I have to reinstall the whole app every month just to be able to render 1 2 minute animation. I have a gaming pc with 16gb ram I can do anything on Blender I mean anything but OpenToonz can’t render a single animation
It might be a graphics card problem i have a Processor: Intel Core i3 (specific model not specified)
Graphics Card: Intel UHD Graphics 600 or 605
RAM: 16GB of RAM,
Storage:SSD
Operating System: Windows 11never had that issue as a 16 gb i did on 8@hobistinyheartbag
opentoonz is my favorite but stability issues 😔
Thank you for the very useful comparison.
I tried SynFig a long time ago on my old Windows Surface Pro, and it was very very buggy!
I’ve been using OpenToonz for a while and I love it to bits! That being said, there were some features in SynFig that I kinda liked that OpenToonz either didn’t have, or had a similar tool, but not quite the same thing. I’m currently redownloading SynFig on my MacBook just to see if they have fixed all the issues since 2015 or 16, when I last tried it! I’m still keeping OpenToonz, but I wouldn’t mind some redundancy!
please report back, how's your experience been with synfig a whole 8 years later (maybe more?)?
@@teklifesynfig is now very okay that is what i use for my animations
I have a rather wide range of graphics software know-how in my repertoire, having used all three consumer-grade OSs, have successfully ported my personal pipeline to Linux and planning to launch the same program on udemy etc to help people achieve the same. Of all I've selftaught myself incl distro terminal commands, Enve and some Blender, there was almost nothing like synfig. It looks good, the tools are there, but when I started testing with basic tasks, the workflow just turned on me and refused to be cooperative. It is exceptional in that you would think you got it since the UI isn't the most complicated, but it keeps fighting what you're trying to do. _Very_ frustrating. I had like probably 3 tries, like I left it for some time to come back again after I feel I have the fresh eyes (we are talking weeks apart if not months), and I gave up every single time. I have used & had more luck with the Opentoon spinoff called Tahoma2d, although it is currently not my go-to tool for 2d animation. Your mileage may and will vary.
I love OpenToonz!
Please make video about synfig studio vs enve
Hy, what software did you use to make this video?
Personally, I use Synfig for everything. It's amazing software! I think OpenToonz is great too, and could probably get the same, or similar, results. I think whichever program is used by animator mostly has to do with which one they're most familiar with, and I just happen to be more familiar with Synfig than OpenToonz... and I don't have enough time to slow down and start over in a different production environment.
Synfig might be used for other well known productions, but a lot of shows just don't say what software they use. If it's not, I hope it eventually becomes more of an industry standard because it can produce very high quality cartoons.
Can i make hand-drawn animation with Synfig??
@@soysolounespectador.3768 maybe. I don't know. In Synfig, I do everything with vectors and vector tweening. I usually start out with hand drawn characters, trace them with vectors, and then animate the vectors.
@@soysolounespectador.3768 yes, you convert it to vector graphics and then use bones or other more traditional frames to animate.
Thanks ✌
i tried watching a tutorial for synfig and even installed it but it looks very tideous and complicated
I use synifig studio
Nice channel
Can you tell me some resources to learn synfig studio ?
tutorial : synfig in youtube
When are you gonna do Opentoonz vs TVPaint?
Tvpaint and OpenToonz are different TVPaint is more for drawing and painting OpenToonz is more like a sort of 2D compositor like AE. CSP vs TVPaint would be a better challenge.
@@JP-zi9mr still. I use Adobe animate, but I want to switch to either Opentoonz or TVPaint. I just can’t figure out which one.
Yes
@@LukeTheDukeYTuse tvpaint
@@LukeTheDukeYT try out anything that's free and open source, uv got nothing to lose trying them out.
I would pay for opentoonz to just fix crashing
OpenToonz wont work on a crappy graphic card also it has alot of powerful features that if not used correctly can cause crashes but for the most part I have found it to be very stable over the years but to each its own.
you did not just call opentoonz intuitive- ;-;
