Don't intercut clips from movies and TV shows to act out the things you're talking about. It's an extremely annoying and amateurish technique. I understand you're trying to make the edit more interesting but that's not the way to do it. The footage and script are good. You'll figure something out.
I think it’s more the tone of voice that doesn’t match the clips. It’s like it’s talking about something serious but then comedy mixed in but I think it could be done better
