I just randomly clicked on your video. I needed this for real as a reminder that people will hate on you but you have to make sure you’re in check with yourself. I don’t ever want to come outta character for a client. This was truly God talking to me through you girl!🙌🏽
I definitely have to agree with you with what you said in this video. I work at a nail salon and people can be very frustrating and negative. Especially when you know your work is good, you carry a positive attitude, you are being professional and still they have negative things to say or try and bring you down. I no longer hold that on my shoulder. I know I do a good job, it's just always going to be people that are jealous of you, or people who for some reason feel like you have to be perfect when no human on this earth is. Keep that negativity elsewhere. I mind my business and keep up with what I'm doing. When you're unbothered that's when people start to notice how untouchable you are. Keep shining love. God has you where you need to be.

I'm not even a nail tech (just a DIYer) but this is good advice in general, for like how to deal with negativity in any workplace. I've been holding grudges and ultimately bringing myself down with my own negativity because I don't really enjoy my job. I wanted to move, get licensed, and start taking clients part time to start practicing and putting together a portfolio, but corona has completely derailed all that and it be making me sooo extra mad and resentful about the BS that happens at my job LMAO. I'm a consultant and these clients be doing entirely tooo much and the more I deal with it, the more it bothers me, especially because my boss does not stick up for me at all and I get reprimanded if I stick up for myself. But your video has helped me like...realize that and think about how maybe I should try harder to find positivity in this situation. Thank you so much, God really sends you what you need when you need it!

I love your advice. I swear it helps out so much especially since Im at the point where kids my age hate on me for no reason at all. I’m 14 and I’ve been Into nails for 2 years but my mom wouldn’t let me do acrylic because of the smell so I found other things to practice with (poly gel, press ons, apres dupe) but I can finally buy some acrylic because I got a air purifier to limit the smell . So these advice videos are helpful 💕

I love these. I started to do nails myself back in December. I’m 15 but and I want to take clients but I’m scared that my work isn’t good enough or that people won’t come because I don’t have a license.

First let me say these nails are bomb 🥰 I needed to hear this. Being new to the industry self taught not licensed (my state doesn’t require it) it’s discouraging when I’m trying to put myself out there and not get the response I hoped for but I keep pushing and practicing even if it’s only on my fake hand because it’s what I love to do. It brings me comfort and joy... I know eventually I will get there and I need to really put in work.... I hope to someday be confident enough in myself and work to have a CZcams Chanel

Yes girl just ignore it and delete they ain't nothing but keyboard warriors being nasty and ain't got a clue how to do nails or makeup or anything 9 times out of 10 they have no clue. When I was in beauty school I had an elderly client come in to get her hair done (as she would weekly) and her stylist wasn’t at school and they passed her on to me I didn’t mind. As Me and her are walking to my station she goes and says “ wow you are the only male, I usually don’t get a guy stylist are you sure you know what you’re doing? “ I giggled and said of course. We get to the shampoo bowls and as I’m washing her hair she starts to bash males who are in the cosmetology field. Once we were back to my station she starts to say her hairs still dirty and I didn’t do anything right and that I should be in this field I should rethink it and so on and so on. So I kindly asked her to give me a second and I just went up to the front desk and asked to get her out my station. I felt very uncomfortable around her. Plus my biggest fear going into beauty school was just that. People saying I should be in this field cause I’m a male. Made me feel so bad. But my work speaks for itself.
Shouldn’t* . & also when I started to work at a salon I got a client send a huge message about me and one thing that got me was she said I had “ ZERO personality and he would rethink about having me as his assistant “ mind you it was my first week working at a salon and I was just quiet but once I seen that I was like wow let me show her who I am. 3 visits in she started to love me lol

And it’s true what you say in your video when you said about just get over it, most of the time it’s not you it the client that’s in their head & I hope the new coming cosmetologist get that because when I started working at a salon in the beginning of last year I realized it ! Good advice keep it up !

Iv been a nail technician for 18 years.There is always something new to try out and perfect.Some technicians are better at certain things than others,it depends on how often you do a particular style.I work mainly with acrylics and don't do much gel it also depends on the quality of the products you use that give you a good result.You have to take criticism on the chin as long as it's constructive criticism and learn by it.I commented on your own nails saying they were terrible! I was giving an honest opinion as I do my own all the time.It wasn't being nasty I was being honest.The more you do them the better they will be.I hope this has helped😊

What advice would you give about refill ? Not all nail tech do refills but some do. What do you think is better? I’m having trouble bc when it comes down to a refill I heard you HAVE to put a clear thing layer first before any type of acrylic powder , is that right ? In this video you didn’t put no clear acrylic and I’m wondering when she goes back how do you refill?
